I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 7 years now. All last night and this morning I've been strongly focused on how to make our new ALIVE:SWAP.HIVE liquidity pool as attractive and profitable for our liquidity providers as possible. Daily liquidity rewards are an important part of that equation, so that's my main endeavor right now. Thanks to Ben (@benthomaswwd), we have the 100 BEE to activate liquidity rewards for our pool, so now it's just to decide what tokens to add, how much of each, and the length of the distribution period. Ben graciously offered to assist with acquiring assets to add to the pool rewards, which would be very helpful indeed.
As opposed to filling our liquidity rewards with hordes of low-value, low-use tokens, I want to make the rewards worth people's decision to add liquidity to our pool. With that in mind, I'm focusing on the most useful and valuable assets for the community, and on those that are from other projects which are rock solid, like @bradleyarrow's tokens.
At the moment I'm wanting to add a good amount of SWAP.HIVE, which is the most useful asset on Hive Engine (after BEE, of course). Next on the list is SWAP.BLURT, since the We Are Alive Tribe is now a multi-blockchain community, with an active base on Blurt. Bradley's BBH and BBHO are both on the list, as I believe in him and his project, and his tokens also have the benefit, like ALIVE, of being passive-income tokens. Then we have our own beloved ALIVE, of course, which will allow people to grow their liquidity in our ALIVE:SWAP.HIVE pool, and/or to grow their staked ALIVE.
As mentioned above, aside from getting clarity on exactly which tokens will be added, and how much of each, what I'm still deciding is for how long the payout-distribution period should be. We could do 365 days all the way up to 5,555 days, though regardless of the length, we'd need to pay another 100 BEE to reactivate the rewards when the distribution period ends. The shorter the distribution period, the larger the daily rewards would be, but we'd have to pay 100 BEE more often, which isn't always feasible. The longer the distribution period, the smaller the daily rewards would be, but we'd have to pay 100 BEE less often.
Choosing 5,555 days would basically give dust-level daily rewards, especially with our present available resources, and increasing liquidity in the pool. One year is very doable, and that's what I'm thinking would probably be the best choice this time around. I'll also set a daily bonus for the pool to 5% for the full duration of the distribution period, which will give a nice boost to long-term liquidity providers. I just learned that anyone can add liquidity rewards to any pool that has an active distribution contract, which means that I can activate the liquidity reward now (which I just did!), and also that once I do, anyone in the community can easy add any layer-2 asset to our pool at no cost! Now that's pretty nifty! Liquidity rewards for the ALIVE:SWAP.HIVE pool incoming!
Yesterday, Saturday, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-We Are Alive Tribe tasks, I prepared for a session that was scheduled at 1:30PM. The session started a little late, it went beautifully well, and we wrapped it up by around 5:30PM, after which I stopped by the Landing to collect my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, then I returned to the Flow House to begin my evening Hive-Blurt-We Are Alive Tribe tasks, and to catch up on my Hive notifications. I got everything done by just before 10PM, and after some asset management, and uploading more PDF books to Qortal, I went to bed just after 11:30PM. I woke up about 5:30AM, having slept well, doing more asset management, going to the Landing to make my superfood fire coffee, then heading back to the Flow House to begin writing this post. It's now just before 11:15AM, so it's a marvelous time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my few other Hive-Blurt-We Are Alive Tribe tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography for my posts, then community/land work. 2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
