This is my post on #freewriters2841 #dailyprompt export the dragon hosted by @marinnewest's. In the misty mountains of Eldoria, Export the Dragon guarded a hidden valley of shimmering gold. Unlike his fire-breathing kin, Export’s power lay in his shimmering scales, which could summon portals to distant lands. Merchants revered him, for he could transport goods across realms in a blink, making trade flourish. One day, a greedy warlord, Varkis, sought to enslave Export to dominate global markets. He stormed the valley with an army, nets of enchanted iron gleaming. Export, wise and calm, sensed the threat. Instead of fighting, he opened a portal beneath Varkis’s army, sending them to a barren desert across the world. The valley’s villagers, grateful, begged Export to stay. But he knew his gift was meant for the world. “Trade binds us,” he rumbled, “but greed divides.” With a flap of his mighty wings, he soared through a portal to a new land, where spice traders needed his aid. Export became a legend, a dragon who wove prosperity through trust, not conquest. His portals flickered across continents, carrying silk, grain, and hope. Wherever markets thrived, whispers of Export’s name echoed, a symbol of unity in a fractured world.
