In the bustling streets of Lagos, Edikan and Nnamonso were inseparable brothers, dreamers with hearts full of wanderlust. Edikan, the elder at 12, was bold and curious, always sketching maps of imaginary lands. Nnamonso, 10, was quieter, his eyes wide with wonder, clutching a worn compass their late father had given them. One rainy afternoon, while exploring their grandmother's attic, they stumbled upon an ancient wooden door tucked behind dusty crates. It wasn't attached to any wall—just standing there, etched with swirling symbols that glowed faintly in the dim light. "The Door to Somewhere," Edikan whispered, reading the faded inscription on its frame. Nnamonso shivered. "What if it's nowhere?" With a creak, Edikan pushed it open. Beyond lay not the expected void, but a shimmering portal swirling with colors—emerald forests, sapphire skies, and distant mountains kissed by golden sunsets. Hand in hand, they stepped through. They emerged in a enchanted realm where trees whispered secrets and rivers sang lullabies. A wise old fox greeted them, its fur sparkling like stars. "Welcome, seekers," it said. "This is the Land of Echoes, where lost dreams come alive." The brothers adventured for what felt like hours: climbing crystal vines, befriending glowing fireflies, and solving riddles from a mischievous wind spirit. They discovered a hidden waterfall that revealed glimpses of their future—Edikan as an explorer, Nnamonso as a storyteller. But as twilight fell, the door reappeared, calling them home. "We'll return," Edikan promised, as they crossed back. Back in the attic, the door vanished, leaving only memories. Yet in their hearts, the Door to Somewhere remained forever open, a gateway to endless possibilities.
