Hello Hiveans,
An old fighter plane that is part of the public ornament of the avenue El Ejército in the city of Maturín, Monagas state, Venezuela; has become the poultry residence of dozens of domestic pigeons that maintain the aerial dominion in the surroundings of the ravine where the referred avenue ends and where the ship was elevated in a concrete column of 12 meters high.
In front of this monument there is a military fort where 3 army battalions are stationed and a residential area for military members. Their instinct of wild survival made them select this elevated residence where they feel protected by the military, since no citizen would dare to capture their young or exercise violence against them. This is a clever strategy to establish themselves as a small bird colony in an urban habitat with a lot of human activity.
I thought it would be good to take some photographs and share them with the prestigious community of feathered friends, supported by curators with a high sense of ecological relevance. I hope you enjoy them:
Thank you for
