Nuevo año escolar, nuevos útiles escolares!! - [Esp/Eng]

  Buenas noches a todos, amigos de hive. Bienvenidos a mi post. El nuevo año escolar está a solo horas por comenzar aquí en Venezuela. Y teniendo en mente ello, fui de compras con mi hermano menor a comprar su lista de útiles escolares. En lo personal, no hay nada que considere más innecesario que una lista de útiles escolares con una cantidad excesiva de cosas que no se necesitan para estudiar, pues estando en el bachillerato son menos necesarias cosas como las temperas, los compases o los blocks de construcción; pero como mi hermanito está apenas en 6to grado, no tuve de otra que llevarlo a comprar lo más esencial de lista. No recuerdo cuando fue la última vez que compré cosas escolares que no fuesen lápices y marcadores. Pues incluso utilicé la misma libreta por 3 años seguidos. Pero tratándose de mi hermano, y de que soy yo quien se hace cargo de él, no puedo dejar que me falte absolutamente nada. Fuimos al hyper market Rattan plaza a comprar, y me sentí super desactualizado con los precios. Mi humilde presupuesto de 40$ para comprar cuadernos, colores y cartulinas fue totalmente desbaratado con el bolso que el niño. Habiendo tanta variedad de bolso, el muy malcriado se antojó de uno de los bolsos más feos y caros, y lo peor fue que no se dejó asesorar (manipular) para que llevara otro bolso.         La última vez que compré cuadernos tenía casi 15 años, y la vida era otra. No sé si es que sean cosas de la economía del país, o que yo realmente no conozco cuanto cuesta un cuaderno, pero considero que 4$ por un cuaderno cuyas hojas son casi transparentes es un robo total. Pero de nuevo, el niño se antojó de cuadernos. Y de cuadernos feos.    Salir con mi hermano a comprar sus útiles escolares me hacen recordar cuando yo salía con mis padres a comprar mis cosas para la escuela. Me hace reflexionar en lo mucho que costaba, y yo no era consciente. Ahora me toca hacerlo a mi y con mucho dolor lo hago, pero no importa, ya que nada me importa más que la sonrisa de mi hermanito. Y de paso, ya pagué su matrícula. Sería muy irónico y desconsiderado inscribirlo en una escuela para que estudie y no comprarle cuadernos con los que estudiar. Definitivamente, estas cosas son un sacrificio, pero uno las hace con amor. Gracias a todos por leer y compartir. Hasta la próxima.    
 Good evening, everyone, friends of Hive. Welcome to my post. The new school year is just hours away here in Venezuela. With that in mind, I went shopping with my younger brother to buy his school supplies. Personally, there is nothing I consider more unnecessary than a school supply list with an excessive amount of items that are not needed for studying, because in secondary school, things like paints, compasses, and color paper blocks are less necessary. But since my little brother is only in 6th grade, I had no choice but to take him to buy the most essential items on the list. I can't remember the last time I bought school supplies other than pencils and markers. I even used the same notebook for three years in a row. But when it comes to my brother, and since I'm the one who takes care of him, I can't let him go without anything. We went to the Rattan Plaza hypermarket to shop, and I felt super out of touch with the prices. My modest budget of £40 to buy notebooks, coloured pencils and card was completely blown by the child's bag. With so many bags to choose from, the spoilt brat took a fancy to one of the ugliest and most expensive bags, and the worst thing was that he wouldn't listen to advice (manipulation) to choose another bag.         The last time I bought notebooks, I was almost 15 years old, and life was different. I don't know if it's because of the country's economy, or because I really don't know how much a notebook costs, but I think £4 for a notebook with pages that are almost transparent is a total rip-off. But again, the boy wanted notebooks. And ugly notebooks at that.    Going out with my brother to buy his school supplies reminds me of when I used to go out with my parents to buy my school things. It makes me reflect on how much it cost, and I wasn't aware of it. Now it's my turn to do it, and I do it with a heavy heart, but it doesn't matter, because nothing matters more to me than my little brother's smile. And by the way, I already paid his tuition. It would be very ironic and inconsiderate to enrol him in school so he can study and not buy him notebooks to study with. These things are definitely a sacrifice, but we do them with love.
