Namaste to all the Warriors of Splinterlands!🙏

In this week's 🌟Splinterlands Social Media Challenge🌟, I'll be showing you a battle in the free-to-play Frontier format where I defeated a much stronger enemy even with my starting cards. This battle is fairly basic, as I only used level one cards. However, new players will find it enjoyable, so please read the full blog!

Let's now look at the Battlefield and how all the cards are positioned!

As soon as I started playing in the Frontier format after completing the first book of Waur Mage Academy, I noticed that I set a new record for consecutive losses. I have been playing Splinterlands for almost a year now, and I don't play that badly. Still, I remember what was said about this new battle format, that no matter whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player, you will have to make major changes in your strategies while playing in this format. Especially if you want to move ahead slowly and steadily in the beginning without buying better cards, this format will bring you completely different and new challenges that you can't take lightly at all. While it can be a lot of fun and help you hone your strategies, you'll surely reap great rewards once you start winning battles in this format.

For this battle, I invoked the Archon of the Life Element, whose ability gives +1 armor to all friendly units. Also, since one of the two rulesets is slightly negative towards magic attackers, assuming the enemy will rely primarily on melee attackers, I placed a card with the Thorns ability on the frontline, which protects the team from initial attacks while also causing heavy damage to the enemy. After this, I positioned 2 melee attackers and finally a ranged attacker. These are all level one cards so their abilities are very limited, but for this battl,e these are the best cards available in my deck.

Round 1🔥

In the above two screenshots, you can see two retaliatory attacks of my first-positioned card with the Thorns ability. Although that card also got knocked out with these two attacks, these two Thorn attacks on the enemy's main attackers have caused decent damage to the enemy. Now, after this, if we talk about numbers, I have fewer cards left, and the enemy has more, but victory and defeat cannot be decided on this basis. In the coming rounds, you will see how even my numbers with fewer cards will build on the enemy.

Round 2 🔥

Here, I have also made a mistake, and that is that I have included a card with a magic attack in my team, which is facing retaliation due to the ruleset. But there was no other melee card in my deck whose attack power was 2 or more, so I had to choose this card. Now, even though this card of mine has suffered some damage in retaliation, it has also increased the attack power of my team a little. Anyway, in the second round, finally one card of the enemy was also knocked out, after which now we both had three cards on the battlefield.

Round 3 🔥

By knocking out each other's cards one by one, by the end of the third round, both of us were left with two cards each. At first glance, it still looks like an equal battle, but if you look at the stats of the cards, you will find who is stronger. In terms of attacking point, my cards are deployed with 2 melee + 2 range attacks, and the enemy has 2 melee and one range attack card left. In terms of health, all four cards are equal, but my first position card also has 2 armours, which will provide additional protection to my cards. Now I leave the result of this battle to your analysis, understanding this also makes you aware about the game mechanics because based on this information, you are able to choose a better team for yourself.

In every battle, you needed to follow the same understanding, planning and strategy as you would in any other battle. And knowing the reasons for winning, you understand that you can make an amazing team with the cards available in your deck, provided you understand the game mechanics well and build a team with the right strategy, with some calculations of the attacks.
