We all know that our planet and environment are in big, big, BIG trouble.
Humans use way too many natural resources and pollute way too much, and the Earth hasn't been able to cope with our excesses for a long time, so much so that our weather patterns will be disrupted permanently.
Even if we stopped polluting and emitting carbon today, we've already done so much damage, and so the CarbonX prize is all about finding ways to suck the CO2 out of the air and actually transform it into a useable product.

There is a $20 Million dollar prize for the team that produces the best solution:
The winning team will convert the most CO₂ into products with the highest value as determined by: 1. How much CO₂ they convert
- The net value of their products.
