https://youtu.be/ZujlEaC3nbg?si=QDYp2pb-tB9L-teg There is a right way to pray. It's just like going to the gym and doing a bench press. If you are not carrying out that form of exercise the right way—that is the right posture—it is possible to carry out that exercise for two years and not see any results. That is the same thing with prayers. That is the reason why people pray sometimes and it looks like the prayers are not being answered. God is still in the business of answering prayers. When we make prayers the right way, at the right time we will surely receive the answers we seek. One thing we should understand about God is that God is a spirit. The way we interact with spirits is not the same way we interact the humans. There are principles to follow to receive the answers we seek from God.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us
One of the criteria to observe when praying to God is to pray out His Will. There are people who would pray but unfortunately not receive answers to their prayers. One of the reasons that may be responsible for this is that they are not praying according to the Will of God. God is interested and gives attention to those who pray according to His will.
James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
The context of what we are praying for really matters alot. We don't just pray blindly. What we may presume to be the best for us at that moment may not be what God has planned out for us at that moment.
