Once we establish what God wants us to do in a certain situation, we take our stand and resist the devil until it comes to pass. Whatever the evil judge tried to do in order to thwart God's purpose for our lives will be overcome through perseverance.

There's an old adage that says nothing good comes easy. Sometimes what we are believing God for might not come to pass immediately or even for years. If we do not have a steadfast spirit we will give up easily. We should not give up because at God's appointed time our prayers will be answered. Consider Abraham, a friend of God. God promised to give him a child through which he would be made the father of many nations but this promise did not come to pass until many years later. Even when his wife talked to him into sleeping with her maidservant to bear a child, we can see the repercussions of that single act. May God help us to remain focused.
