It's been 8 or nine years since I had my first denture. It's located in front of my teeth in just one piece. It all started when I was in elementary school. I was grade three or four. I knew I was late so I ran after entering the school gate. But my shoes had laces. While running I stepped on the lace because it was not properly tightened. I hit the floor with my front teeth! It was full of blood I was rushed to the clinic to be checked up. I was crying because of the feeling of the unknown in my teeth.
I was told to go home and take a rest. I was hungry when I went home. We have hotdogs on the table, I took one bite and I felt that I was biting a block of ice. I wanted to cry but I just asked grandma what did I suddenly feel that way? She said because my teeth were cut in half.
Mom arrived and she already knew what happened. She was disappointed but couldn't blame me for what happened.She took me to the dentist to get my teeth fixed. I was advised to get a jacket. It took years before it was ruined. The jacket was broken so I was advised to wear dentures.
My son Sasuke was suffering from a severe toothache, so we both went to the dentist together. We waited for the dentist to arrive, we are the first patient. My 15 year old son already knew how to handle his father's motorcycle. It was just near our barrio so even though he has no license we can tour around our city.
My son was the first to be examined. It extracted one tooth and I heard the dentist asking him if it was his first time. I was the one nervous, because I had a bad experience at the dentist. He went outside the room smiling and asked him how it was? He said her hands were gentle. I was calm after hearing him.
I was the next patient. I thought a free cleaning would be included in the 1000 pesos or $17.52 per denture. But she just examined and offered me a lot of stuff to get my teeth better. But I honestly told her that I had a tight budget. So I prefer just one tooth and a retainer in front of the denture so the spacing will be covered. She told me that she could add another tooth but the people will be bothered to see a big change to it. I just needed one in front and all of a sudden they'll be making it two.
I needed to open a big wide mouth to get the exact size needed. I was shocked because they measured the upper and lower part of the mouth. She asked if I wanted to test it before they cooked it thoroughly. It will allow me to find the right adjustment needed. But I still needed to wait for another 3 days to get it again. So I said I trusted her so I'll be coming once and get the denture that I needed. My old one had already cracked, but because of the wires it's still working. It lasts for 9 years because I'm used to not using it for biting food even for soft ones.
I'm excited to wear my new Denture.
