Qurator's Photo Quest | Power Lines

When you live in the Philippines, it’s very common to see power lines everywhere you go. Sometimes I just stop and look up because the wires are really unbelievable. They are not just one or two, but so many lines all connected and crossing each other like a spider web. 😅 It makes me wonder how they even know which one is which.

For us, it already feels normal because we see it every day. When you walk on the street or ride a tricycle, you will always notice those crazy lines above your head. At night, when the lights are on, you can even see the glow passing through them. It’s messy but at the same time it’s part of the view that makes our place unique.

Sometimes I feel worried for the linemen who fix these lines during brownouts. I really admire their courage and skills because looking at those wires is already confusing for me. But for them, it’s their work and they know how to manage it.

Power lines may look wild and unbelievable, but they also show how electricity keeps our daily life running, even in the most complicated way.
