Kraftwerk war mega als Wegbereiter auch für Techno - Propaganda wird oft vergessen, vielen wissen nicht, dass die aus Düsseldorf kommen - aber die sind outside Deutschland wohl populärer als ich dachte
Propaganda - not Kraftwerk
The header sounds pretty German aggressive (or powerful) lol - during process to check my old vinyl music in the cellar I found more. So apart from Rock Classics (was reason i went downstairs) I was missing in the last 8 years on the blockchain I obviously also found other stuff.
- Techno / Trance / House - clear (but not topic today)
- Soul (not topic today)
- Pop (not topic today)
- Schlager (hope never topic lol)
The Synthi wave before Techno
Actually I need to admit - before I joined the Techno scene I was into Rock and Metal, the early Synthi sounds not all been something for me (I actually did not like Depeche Mode at all - changed) however even I bought some pearls of that period - Yazoo (related to DM), Visage (same) - both from the island of our Friends in the UK/GB. I loved a song (no idea if Synthi) by Barbara Gaskin and Dave Stewart (please note - not the one who was leading Eurythmics later - also a good Synthi project from the UK).

Why Propaganda?
I often wrote about our German Kraftwerk as role model and a reason why Techno was sooo popular in Germany. I also wrote about a band from Düsseldorf called "Propaganda" - but always considered them as one-hit wonder (or three hit-wonder) even I always loved their sounds.
Today I will tell you that I am totally proud of this project (produced by Trevor Horn - Brit, produced Frankie Goes to Hollywood as well as Simple Minds, even some production of Foreigner my all-time favourite band such as "I want to know what Love is") after having read a lot comments on YT videos by people from around the world i did not expect they love that music.
Seems they really are still popular - at least amongst older people like me. They had a British sound (based on their producer) but to me still sounded obvious German - good or bad who cares, it was great and they sometimes perform still.
In Germany we had also projects such as Alphaville, Camouflage - but I consider Propaganda as the most influential - knowing music always is a matter of taste, reading such comments in English, French, Spanish, German and more:
Talking is good, showing is better - enjoy their sounds (first one even a live performance in London not that long ago - Claudia getting older but still sooo awesome):
