The apostles in turn handed over those doctrines unto the church. We all, as christians, are guided by the doctrines.
The doctrine of baptism is one of the core doctrines of the church. We were commanded by Jesus Christ to receive baptism. Baptism is an important part of our beliefs in Jesus Christ. The salvation of a soul is accompanied by baptism. Anyone who believed was asked to be baptized.
The importance of baptism can be seen by the action of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ didn't need to be baptized, but he submitted himself to be baptized by John the Baptist so that he could set us an example. If our Master could be baptized, how could many of us not accept baptism. Let us willingly accept baptism because it is a valid doctrine of the church.
