The Rust Resistance Iron Pillar

I'm still thinking what's keeping them stand till now?And the answer lies in the strategy to make it , and the architecture and the material used. In this blog , I'll talk specifically about the iron pillar in delhi. It is world famous cause it's rust resistance and from ages it's standing here. Lots of research has been done on it to know it's rust resistance property, the metal used in it is extremely good. You will find it in the middle of Qutub Minar complex, it is 7 meters high, made up of pure iron and weight 6 tons. You can also spot it from distance, it's that huge.

It is believed to be 1600 years old, which is quite history in itself. Also there was this rumor earlier that if you make a wish by curling your arms around it, your wish will come to. And guess what happened? The pillar got peocted by railings around it as it was getting harmed by touching again and again. This is a great experience to prove how innocent people of India are!

The pillar is here from the 4th century and it is erected by the king Chandragupta2. In language Sanskrit everything is written on the pillar. Also it is in UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There were lots of huge gates there for a second i myself was confused, from where to enter and from where to leave, haha.

Then I saw this huge incomplete structure made up of stones, it has one huge gate and three small gates on its side. Interesting right? There should be two small gates on both the side, but it's incomplete and that's it's real beauty.
