Today's blog I will take you to the hilltop which is called tiffin top and the most interesting thing is you can either choose to work alone and track for 4 km or you can choose to do horse riding. I choose this option cause I didn't remember when I did horse riding last time. The tiffin top offers the whole view of the Nainital and the panoramic view of the Himalayas and Kumaon hills. If you are now then in Hindi lunch box is called tiffin and this top is called tiffin tops cause back then people use to carry tiffin box till here to enjoy their picnic, hence they have named it as tiffin top. The best time to visit this place is between March to July cause at this time you will be able to see the kumau hills and the Himalayan rangers better.
You can see the trail, cause of monsoon the soil got washed away making it difficult for the horses to work but still they were there working for their masters.
The horse I rode 6 year old and his name was hriday which means heart in English. He was nice and he completely followed the instructions of his master.
It took us 15 minutes to cover the whole trail of a 1 km and it was a beautiful path, I couldn't take much pictures cause I was instructed to keep my phone inside my pocket or else the horse could get out of control. But that trail was beautiful they were lots of picturesque spot that can be seen through the path, also shooting of lots Bollywood movies was done here. Being a famous tourist spot this place still has its own charm and its value is still in that you will see lots of trees all around while flowers and bushes and you will feel that you are between a jungle or at a place which is far far away from human but in reality lots of people visit here.
And then there came end to our horse riding and the master told us that you will get to see a very beautiful place from the tiffin top and I thought to myself that every place here is beautiful and there are mountains all around what else is going to be there. Also I was curious to know about the spot he was talking about in our whole journey. The mountain top where we have reached now is called tiffin top and it is among one of the most popular tourist spots in Uttarakhand. Altitude is about 2290 m and offers a panoramic view of the Nainital town and the Himalayas and the very famous Kumaon hills.
As I about to reach the end of the top I spotted lots of today's there were looking at the beautiful view and I couldn't wait to reach there to see it by myself.
This is a picture of the beautiful trail where are horses left us, and you can see how beautifully the lush green trees and forest cover it.
As soon as I reached here I saw the beautiful large green forest on one and and their mountains in front of me. By looking down I got to know what was the hype all about.
This was the view in front of me and I couldn't believe me eyes this is exactly what I can dream or I can describe as a best view of my life. This pond or Taal is known as Khurpatal lake which is an amazing place and hidden gem of Nainital. The name of the lake came after its shape which is like khrupa a tool that is used in garden, therefore the name Khurpatal.
Never in my dreams I could imagine such beautiful place it's like a Paradise or if there is heaven on earth then it is this place. The crystal clear water of the lake was making it even more beautiful. This is perfect place for those who want to spend some time alone with nature and in a less crowded place cause this area is calm and best for peace lovers.
This is 12 km away from the main Nainital therefore it is perfect for those who wants to connect with nature and wants to spend some time alone in a less crowded place. Can go for small tracks and nature walks and also I guess this is perfect place for photography and boating is always allowed so yeah you can also do that. This lake was my favourite and one thing that make it even more amazing was it's cluster clear blue water. Lake is literally situated in the lap of nature and protected by evergreen forest.
Here is the glimpse of tourist that we spot there, they were busy taking pictures of each other and they were from different states so they will literally surprise to say this beauty and the whole view. Everyone there was enjoying the view and they will clicking lots of picture to memorize this moment forever. For the records, all the pictures are taken by me with my phone's camera.
And here's a picture of the area around from where we all are looking at these beautiful mountains and lake. Front of us there were Himalayan ranges and the kumaon hills. Weather was cloudy so we couldn't see the ranges properly but whatever we saw was enough to satisfy our soul.
In my opinion mountains look even more beautiful when they have clouds on them, it look like a crown that they have. Memories of this place are still vivid and crystal clear in my mind.
As far as I could see there, were mountains of different heights, completely covered with Lash green forest. The beauty of this place is literally mesmerizing and for me its heaven on earth. I haven't seen place more beautiful than this and this lake is my absolute favourite so if you got any chance to visit Nainital don't miss to go to tiffin top to enjoy this view.
