The Temple At Village Chaunri
Radhe Radhe Everyone! Hope you all are doing
In today's blog I'll share about the rich culture of Himachal Pradesh and the rituals that are followed during the inauguration of temple. This is our second temple in village Chaunri at District Shimla himachal.
You might be confused by hearing the word second village, Let me clarify that a during old times People at himachal used to have land at different locations and as you all know that the major occupation off people here is a farming so they have a grown apple trees every land. Show the land where they used to live.Most of The Times is their primary village, and the village where they also have some land is their secondary village where everybody does not have people home bur a small cottage. This place is my second village and we have a temple constructed newly here.The temple was completed back in 2018 but the inaugration happened recently. And I'm here to provide you the proper details regarding it.
So usually whenever a function took place at any village in Shimla, which is related to our higher power or maharaj, ladies don't do any work in that. All the genes of the village have to take care about each and every single detail including the decoration of the temple as well as cooking food for people present there. Away , guys were advised to be there at five in the morning so that we can take care about all the little things such as the cleanliness around the temple , as well as the decoration. I was so busy decorating the temple that I forgot to take some pictures for you guys.
Woodchopping For The Hawan
It was a busy day, along with the decoration and cleanliness the another thing that way people have to take care about is woodcutting or chopping for the hawan or pooja. So me and my friend took proper care of the work assigned to us.

Here is a picture of me with my squad and we finished all our work around 7 in the morning and while taking some rest and chitchatting we captured this image.
Symbols Of Our Maharaj
Let me show you around, our Gudaru Devta Maharaj has a palki made up of Gold, Silver and Precious Stones. Along with palki, our Maharaj also have some of symbols and always stays with him all the time, wherever our Maharaj travel and those symbol travels with them and has to be carried by the gents of our village. Here are some of them, as the Maharaj is resting these symbols are also kept down on a nice and clean place. These symbols carries power and no one is allowed to touch them without any reason.
Around 9 in the morning all the people from different villages started to gather around our temple to seek blessings from our Maharaj. During the whole time our Maharaj was inside the tent and there was pandit g there to give prasadam to every devotee as blessings.
Around ten all the priest started the process of havan so they started to gather all the nursery things required there. Whenever you start something important apuja all inauguration we have to wait for a specific time , which is considered good. So we waited till nine , and then all the priest started the process.
Preparation For Hawan By Priest
Here are some of the pictures that I have taken while all the priests were gathering the raw materials before the hawan. All the priest of our Maharaj are same they never change and then their generation continue the process further.

As I mentioned earlier during all the time, our Maharaj was inside a tenk and in the picture above, you can see a small tent where lots of people are standing.Before starting the havan or puja , the priest went there to take the blessings from the mahara that's why there are lots of people standing here.
So after taking the blessing from maharaji, the havan started and the instruments of maharaji , which includes dholak, drums, saxophone and lot more started to play and everything around became still and everyone around started to take the holy name of our Maharaj g and joined hands to get blessings.
