Radhe Radhe Everyone!
Recently I visited Delhi and I wanted to know if there is any nearby track to do cause I had today's left with me and I don't want to waste them. After researching I came to know about the leopards trail which is around 22 km from the Gurgaon and it is situated at Aravali hills. Third people at Gurgaon don't have an escape from the city life about here it is they have leopard trail which is well known for its scenery and there you will see quite a difference and you want believe that you are at Gurgaon. You must we wondering if there is any leopard at the Aravali hill or at the trail?
Then the answer is he is the people around the area has encountered leopard around the Aravali hills and hence the name.
Without wasting much time I rented a bike which coasted me around 600 buks for a day. I went there with my friend and it was around to in the noon cause a visiting there at early morning or late evening is strictly prohibited cause you never know you can encounter a leopard. If you are one ring that is it a zoo or a bar or is there any entry fee to enter the area, so let me tell you that you are free to room around the Aravali hills but as it is dangerous cause of the wild animals so you must stick to the main route or the trail.
As we started to reach toward the Aravali hills suddenly I Sa greenery or around me and the when was cool and chill I never imagine that such place can exist in so much crowded city. By god grace it was not to Sunny so I guess I choose the perfect day and the perfect timing.
There are some of the pictures of the road to show you how well it was surrounded by the bushes and greenery. Bike ride on such areas is literally to good cause you don't get the heat stroke the wind here is so cool that it brushes you off and help you to calm down.
After covering the 22 km I finally saw the Aravali hill it was huge, wide from my direction and my point of view it was like a small hill in front of me with some trees and bushes. It Made me more curious I wanted to know if it's not that big that huge then why people visit here.
Below is a picture of Google map to give you n idea of my accurate location and the picture also mentions the leopard pond which I was quite curious to know and see.
Now I had two options either I can go off riding or I can just simply walk. Guess what I did? I rented a bike for a day but still I preferred to go for a track not for off riding. Also condition of the track was not good, cause of rain it's all mudy and riding at such place could be risky.
This place is good for those who wanted to relax between the nature and the charge to the fullest. While roaming around I saw wages species of birds and also there were lots of wild animals that I don't know the name of. I must saying finding such a spot at Gurgaon which gives you full view of the city and takes you between the jungle is quite difficult.
The picture below you can see the whole forest of the Aravali hills and their were different kind of trees such as pipal, banyan pilu and ber. Most of these trees are edible and hands they support wildlife and in general ecosystem. I also spotted Neem plants on my way if you don't know it has amazing medicinal properties and can be useful in number of ways.
After covering first few kilometres this was the view in front of us, now can you imagine the view from the top. Well reaching at the top of this trail is a task in itself cause it was around 20 km and if you have enough time and enough stamina then only you can do it.
With each passing curve, new scenery unfolds in front of us and I was as amazed as I could be, by simply looking at it.
Here are some closer pictures of the trail we travelled, I was enjoying walking here but at the same time it is difficult and slippery. There were huge holes between the road and it was all covered by rain water, we travel very carefully here. After covering 5 km uphill we saw a huge and dense forest in front of us.
This huge forest made me realise that you can do number of activities here like trekking sport cycling or Rock climbing as well as of roaring. For those who seek peace between nature, it's a best place you can meditate here, so some wildlife photography or just simply enjoy being here.
But what unfolded in front of me was unimaginable, there were lots of skeleton of different size and structure near the path which was making it scary and now the time was around 4:30 in the evening. By looking at these skeletons the first thought that came in my mind was is there any leopard around us?
Cause now I got the proof that there are wild animals in this hill and now I fully believe that leopards are also here. I was not afraid but I was cautious cause I was here with my friend who add first never wanted to come but now doesn't want to leave. I have to look after both of us that was the main reason.
Letter we found a plane area at the top of the hill which was covered with wild flowers and the fragrance was strong and amazing. The area was so huge and it was lovely looking at these wild flowers.
Mostly difficult to find a plane area at the top of the mountain but I guess we choose the right path and also we met some people who gave us direction and I am so greatful for them cause here you will see number of path leading to different directions and if you don't have right guidance you can and up at wrong place or you can get lost.
At the top there was some infrastructure or small buildings we didn't go there cause it was too far away from our location but I wanted to know who lives there what's the purpose of building house between wild animals or is it allowed to build houses here? I had number of questions but there was no one to answer. Was like a free place where you can Rome as long as you want and as freely as you want. You can take any path you can go to any direction no one will say anything but it is really risky you can get lost or you can and up meeting a leopard.
Finally I saw the pond which is known as leopard pond and I guess it's cause people have seen leopards drinking water from this pond or lots of other animals. Well, it wasn't too big nor too small, just perfect. It took us three hours to reach here and now it was time to go back. I loved this trek, it was full of adventure, joy, unnamed paths, skeleton and fun. For the record, all these pictures are taken by me with iphone.
Hope you enjoyed as much as we did. Thank you for reading 🙏 Radhe Radhe
