Living here in china is such a previledge because you can go to different places here and one of the places I really wanted to see was the Summer Palace. I had read about it before and saw some pictures online, but being there in person felt very different. The Summer Palace is one of the most beautiful places in Beijing, and I was so happy I got to spend some time there. ![Nature Photo Collage in Green and Light Brown Clean Grid Style_20250920_134329_0000.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/23x1DKgHjizHhLwx2W7ECfUr7twxrCUs9ATLG4LZqdx623wfxYoRA41RrV1jtk1mRfKZo.png) When we arrived, the weather was cold, so I wore a coat to keep myself warm. The air was fresh, and I could already see some of the sceneries even from the entrance. The place is very big, and everywhere you look there is something nice to see. It felt more like a peaceful park than a busy tourist spot. Even though there were visitors, it was still calm and relaxing. ![IMG_20250920_131604.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/23uQvsmvVtaYe23e3E2BY49McKSdPv8ueoNahhLfvvYvN5ET2E21z4ST49zPzawD1gRKf.jpg) One of the first things I noticed was the bridge over the blue river. It looked very elegant and strong, almost like something from an old painting. I stopped there for a while because the view was so nice. ![IMG_20250920_131651.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/23zGYRxKgTEbitp8pyLs7uWvrHLBLm9X56iRTARKuEQ54YUdLvtuJpdazHYsvD2whb6q1.jpg) The water was calm, and the bridge stood beautifully in the middle of it. I took some pictures of the scenery, and of course, I also had my picture taken there. Looking at the bridge with the river around it made me realize how carefully the Summer Palace was built. After walking around, I explored more of the palace grounds. There are many temples and traditional Chinese buildings, and they all look amazing. ![IMG_20250920_131706.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/23wMTvv7zGuixHnHmF7Rcz1jmvuEEu6zxw4VewytP6C1oFe4TNo1AKQZzvTwFk17utaZ7.jpg) ![IMG_20250920_131720.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/23xyLU8a5aV1MeLubw8yHQQE1tGbzL6PGnwbG27WVA8jBsoc8QziqUniwTmfHZi5sWGjk.jpg) The temple I visited had a very classic design, with the curved roofs and detailed decorations. Standing there, I felt like I was stepping into history. It’s the kind of place where you want to just stop and look carefully at every detail. The pathways around the Summer Palace are also very beautiful. Some paths are lined with trees, while others open up to wide views of the lake. Walking there felt peaceful, like taking a break from the noise of the city. I think this is one of the reasons people love going to the Summer Palace it gives you a calm space where you can enjoy nature and history together. I also noticed how the colors of the buildings and the natural surroundings worked so well together. It looked so perfect that every corner felt like a photo spot. That’s why I ended up taking a lot of pictures there, not only of the scenery but also of myself enjoying the moment. I stayed near the water to just relax. The view of the water, with the temple in the background, felt so peaceful. I could see the water moving slowly, and the reflection of the buildings on the water looked really nice. Even though it was cold, I didn’t mind at all. The calmness of the place made me forget about the temperature. Walking further, I found other small details that made the Summer Palace special. There were stone carvings, painted walls, and even little gardens hidden between the buildings. It made me realize that this place was not just made to look beautiful, but also to make people feel comfortable and happy while walking around. For me, the Summer Palace was more than just a tourist spot it was an experience. It showed me the beauty of traditional Chinese design mixed with nature. I liked that you could enjoy both the wide, open sceneries like the lake and the bridge, and also the smaller details like the temple decorations. ![IMG_20250920_131628.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/EogMmmRnT4uRD3UGjzhqVpTDrzkGFtfb2VKuQgdZPRfx2NC71FYykfgNoGL2CBQJHLL.jpg) ![IMG_20250920_131637.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/23uFW8qRT6Tsb85ekYRnu2MTDBpXdiUEoiu2JTioUugSKvL1r2VKiRKNpGZSvbjJPw9cz.jpg) ![IMG_20250920_131713.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/Eq35gcqxjquR3zqCn96QqTjnhVMfNzG1Bw5m5cvKTvT3kUsfoDCAYffSDmEw4q2ZuKs.jpg) Of course, I also enjoyed taking pictures of myself there. Since I was wearing a coat, it reminded me of how cold it was that day, but it also added to the memory. ![IMG_20250920_131619.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/23yJC1AsqzRhk9eoFwFek34YhmL8FSn1EBcUUpSvGCWDbr5efoX3JxufwpkUPwGzt8Wsc.jpg) ![IMG_20250920_131644.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vanezeyy/AK7yJVZrkkazKqD2x8W4wUhZ5aXnXTmshLyn4kRaFqk9RgAkdypraZbvFsStypR.jpg) Looking back at those photos, I can remember how fresh the air felt, how quiet the place was, and how happy I was to be there. The Summer Palace is the kind of place where you can spend hours just walking and still not see everything. It is very large, and each part feels different. One moment you are crossing a bridge over the blue river, then the next you are standing in front of a temple, and then later you are looking at the view of the lake. It is full of surprises, and every turn gives you something new to enjoy. By the time I finished walking around, I felt tired but also very relaxed. The visit was worth every step, and I felt grateful to have seen such a beautiful place. I would love to go back to the Summer Palace because there is always more to see and more to enjoy. To me, the Summer Palace is a perfect mix of history, culture, and nature. The bridge, the temple, the lake, and the sceneries all together make it feel like a dream. Visiting it gave me memories I will keep for a long time. If you ever go to Beijing, I really recommend visiting the Summer Palace. It is not just a palace it is a place where you can feel peace, beauty, and history all in one.
