Prelude Good day to all, hope that all of you are having a good week so far and having many memorable and interesting battles in Splinterlands. A little later than usual for Social Media Challenge but here I am!

Been playing the Frontier format for quite a while and find that I rarely will select Life foundation lineup and wonder if the life splinter cards can suit the normal ranked battle. Today I am picking one of them, Sherringham Logger, and test it out which I think is rather decent and worthy to try.

Selection Analysis We have 4 splinters available for selection - Fire, Death, Life and Dragon. Due to lack of a proper main set life Archon, I used a Dragon Archon to lead this life splinter team and see if they are able to sustain with the inclusion of a foundation life splinter card.

So here is my selection of the lineup. This match I will be using Conclave Arcana Dragon Archon, Kavor Skarn which enables me to call upon dragon cards on top of life splinter cards to give me a slightly larger selection due to the dragon cards. The tank of choice for me is Janni Rebel so as to give my melee attackers namely Sherringham Logger an extra melee attack from inspire ability and also this card is having a rather decent stat line. Night Reaper takes the 2nd spot which is there to aim at flying cards and cleared out fast with its high magic attack. Following Night Reaper is Meriput Magician which is there to heal up the tank and keep it alive. And next comes to Sherringham Logger whom has a decent attack and sneak. Then comes the important lookout card, Thanalorian Archer which is able to help reduce attack taken by adjacent cards from sneak, snipe or opportunity. And the final card in the lineup will be Mystic Mudbinder which is having a good armour and decent amount of magic attack.

On my opponent end, my opponent used Fithe Bloodstone which is for dwarves and it is fantastic with the void for dwarves and the extra armour to others. Leading the front is the headache good card, Grimbardun Fighter which will get most benefit from the archon for shield and void. In 2nd position is Chaos Evoker that will be causing alot of blast damage to my team. I am surprised to see Vengeful Monk which is often seen during frontier matches but slightly worse off than Sherringham Logger in stats due to the lack of armour but good for the opportunity attacks. Following which is Molten Elemental which has both melee and range attack and also void. The lineup ends with 2 range attacker with both having 2 range attacks.

An interesting lineup for both me and my opponent that we did not capitalize the sneak ruleset but went with either heavy magic on my end and heavy range on my opponent's end. So let's get right on to the round by round synopsis.

Round by Round Synopsis

Round 1 - While there were loads of exchanges and even on my end healing that occurred, Janni Rebel still was unable to sustain through and fell on the first round after being taken out by Grimbardun Fighter.

Round 2 - At least things stabilized in the round with no casualty and the void on my opponent card really make it tough for me to do more damage on them and it is getting worrying if I can't clear out more cards.

Round 3 - Breakthrough came when Sherringham Logger lands the sneak attack onto the defending dwarf taunt card which will now allow me better access to the backline while my front line tries to keep themselves alive with Meriput's healing.

Round 4 - While I thought Night Reaper can hang on a little more, it couldn't but thankfully, we also cleared off Grimbardun Fighter and no longer need to worry on Void causing my attack to be not causing damage to opponent. Now it is down to the remaining cards to see who can clear each other faster.

Round 5 - Meriput was blasted while Chaos Evoker had the same treatment and we are going strong with lookoout upon 2 of my cards, should be easy to finish everything off.

Round 6/7 - Everything ended as the lineup continue to add pressure and finally clear off everything by round 7 to gain the victory.

Battle Summary This is a rather interesting match where both me and my opponent played a little differently instead of capitalizing the ruleset. I had my share of crazy placement so does my opponent. Sherringham Logger did well and was instrumental in clearing the dwarf taunter with void by smashing it with 2 melee damage and that marked the end of my suppressed magic attacks. Thing got a little smoother when cards with void are all off the field. Though already severely reduced in cards, I manage to overturn the situation and win the match!

Probably gonna spend more time on life lineup to make sure I get better with it.
