Today the ramble to the park almost got canceled, something normal—spending a while in touch with the earth, seeing the sky in an open space and not just the boring, but so necessary, roof that covers the house.
The weather around here has been quite unpredictable, with rain at times and sun at others, which can happen several times a day.
I was on my way to meet my female friend V, but the rain forced me to take shelter in a liquor store with music I totally disliked, blaring at full volume, to boot.
I stood there watching people try to dodge the rain, while my mind tried to dodge that horrendous music. Luckily, it didn't last long, maybe 20 minutes.
I met up with V a little later and we were on our way home to take shelter, watch movies, and do other things. Suddenly, it seemed as if he had read my mind and we connected: Let's go to the park, even though it has rained!
Along the way, she was infected by the rainy atmosphere that has been quite present lately, so she introduced me to a piece of music that fit the moment perfectly.

Despite the sudden changes in weather, the park was quite passable, and we even lay down for a while on the grass, on a sheet I had brought, and watched the blue sky, which in the blink of an eye allowed us to admire it.
The earth seemed very thirsty, as much of the water had already been absorbed.
Back home, the song I heard in V's car kept playing in my mind, and it's really good, so I'll listen to it a couple more times while I drink some punch that I didn't remember I had in the fridge a few months ago.
