With my husband @outlinez and our friends from the cycling group we cycled in the Strandzha Mountain area.
Our starting point was the village of Brashlyan from where we started the cycling tour. The track was entirely on a dirt road as we wanted to avoid riding on asphalt completely.
It is September and the forest is so beautiful. The colors are enchanting and calming and the feeling is relaxing.
In the forest we saw huge trees over 750 years old, belonging to the Blagun genus. They were impressive in size.
There was a very short section where we had to cross the road to get to the other side.
Ahead was a road with coarse gravel that was not very easy to cycle on.
Forest areas alternated with open meadows revealing wonderful views.
There were also sections of climb with steep slopes.
The open areas became even more beautiful with the fluffy white clouds that dotted the sky.
In places, the high speeds at which we rode our bikes caused the tires to kick up a lot of dust from the dusty road.
We reached the shelter near the village of Stoilovo, which we had marked as our final destination.
I had visited this shelter in the spring, in April to be exact, when it was still cool and the trees were still leafless. How different the place looked now in the fall.
We took a break at the shelter.
We returned back the same way.
The cycling was filled with many pleasant emotions and it was a pleasure to be in nature on this warm September day.
Thank you for stopping by!
