This Wednesday walk is with my friends to Bakarlaka Peak.
Bakarlaka Peak is part of the Stara Planina - the northeasternmost branch of the Bosna ridge. This is one of my favorite destinations in the area for cycling, but this time my friends and I went to the peak on foot.
By car we reached the fork from which the final climb to the peak begins, where the road is the narrowest and most broken.
From there we set off on foot.
Along the way we enjoyed beautiful views.
We saw decorative physalis and many trees with ripe dogwoods.
Two of my friends had never been to the top and were eagerly waiting for us to arrive so they could see the beautiful view we had told them so much about.
At the very top we pass through a forest path with fallen trees, stones and lots of moss.
The beautiful view is now in front of us and we calmly enjoy it, holding our breath.
We don't stay long, because the wind here is always very strong.
We take the return journey and are happy with the unique recharge.
Thank you for stopping by!
