Crotcheting a phone purse

Hello lovely family @diyhub, this is my first time posting here, hope I'm welcome.

The last time I did crotchet was in secondary school and that was several years ago. Recently, I have been meaning to go back to crotcheting but time never let me. But I finally found time to crotchet and I decided to make a phone purse.

Why a phone purse?
My phone has several cracks on the screen due to the constant falls, so I decided to make a phone purse to put my phone when going out incase it falls, it won't really affect it.

Materials used:
Yarn
Hook
Scissors
Button
Needle and thread
Tape for measurement

Here's a step by step guide on how I made this phone purse.

STEP1: I started by making a skip knot then made a chain stitch of about 4 inches.

STEP 2: I made a double crotchet on the second stitch. Then continued with a double crotchet in every stitch and went all the way round.

STEP 3: I made a double crotchet with my first yarn about 16 steps and repeated same with my second yarn.

STEP 4: to make the cover of my purse, I made a double crotchet on every stitch till I reach middle and turned my work and went all the way back till I got the last stitch.

STEP5: I thread my needle and sew my button in place.

When I started I thought it was small but I later loved the outcome. It's the perfect size for my phone, I might forget to use the button but I won't mind because the purse holds my phone firmly and it won't fall off.

Thanks for gracing my post with your presence, see on my next blog.
