Omo, for my country party no dey complete without jollof rice and meat, fish or chicken 😂(in my country, a party isn't complete without jollof rice and meat, fish or chicken). Whether it's a birthday, weeding or even a small get together, once there is jollof rice then the party is complete. The smell of the jollof rice alone brings joy and people together. When I say jollof rice, I mean the one cooked with firewood.
That one has a special taste attached to it. I remember there was a time I went to a weeding celebration of a colleague, there was no jollof rice and that's what everyone was anticipating, so I joking asked someone sitting beside me, which kind party no dey cook jollof rice 😂 (what kind of party doesn't cook jollof rice). So if I could bring a special food to @ladiesofhive anniversary, it's going to be jollof rice served with chilled soft drink to step down.
One blessing I would say to the @ladiesofhive community is: May we continue to grow in love, strength, and support for one another. May this space remain a safe place where every woman can express herself freely, share her story, and find comfort among sisters. I pray for joy, blessings, favor and open doors for every lady here. I'm grateful to be a part of this wonderful community.
