Everyone wants to be successful, no one wants to be left behind. Success is a very beautiful thing. Being successful helps to take care of families, helps one live a better life, and also enjoy comfort. In all honesty, when success comes it doesn't change just your pocket, it also changes who are you. Some change for the better and when you see some changes in other people, you'll be wondering if this is the person you once knew.

This happens to everyone that becomes successful, once you've become successful and everyone hears about it, you'll begin to receive calls from home, from relatives even lost relatives you never knew existed will begin to call you, why? Because you've made it and they need assistance from you, that's when they remember you ever existed. As you've become successful, some people will begin to respect you more than they used to, you'll see your senior addressing you as "yes sir or yes ma".
Due to the constant calls and favours that people ask of you, the successful person begin to change. Some become humble and lift others, but some all low pride and ego to take over them.
I didn't grow up with my parents so I can't say how true this is but my mom and younger sister won't make up same story. Luck fell on my immediate elder brother and he became successful, but this lasted just for a while. Now at the point where my brother was successful, he forgot about everyone and everything. He doesn't pick calls from home and never return the call, he never visited home even when he was asked to. But when that luck burnt out, he suddenly remembered he has parents and he has a place he call home.
That's just what success does to people, it changes you for the better or the worst. Don't get me wrong, it’s okay to enjoy your success, live well, and set boundaries, but never forget where you came from, don't let success get into your head because no one knows tomorrow. You might pass people today while going up and meet them again when life humbles you.
Some people use their success to bless others, they support people, give out scholarships, feed the hungry, help the less privilege and so on. That's how it's supposed to be, that's the right way. Success should not change your good heart. It should only give you more power to do good.
Yes success comes with many social changes, new friends, new places, new behavior. But we must be very careful. We should not let success break us, instead it should build us. Because no matter how far we go in life, we must always and always remember our roots.
