My dad made it a habit of taking warm water every morning when he wakes up while my mom made a habit of always drinking more than 6 bottles of water a day. I never knew why they did and I didn't even ask them, it's after growing up, I realized they did it for their health.

Talking to someone can help a lot, even if it's not a therapist, as long as you can trust the person and the person won't judge you. Doing things that makes you happy can also help you take care of your mental health.
I remember when I had a misunderstanding with a very good friend and instead of sitting in silence and thinking about it, I just picked my phone and was scrolling through it, watching reels and it helped me. Taking rest when you're tired or stressed can also help our mental health. Rest is very important to the health, so always take rest when necessary.
Now when we want to balance both our physical health and mental health, we can start by being honest to ourselves. When your body is tired, you rest. When your mind is stressed, you pause and take a break. Don't overwork yourself just to please others, you can never please anyone enough. Try and make simple routines such as time for rest, time for fun, time for work and also time for yourself. Making time for yourself is very important because when you break down, you won't rest, or have fun, or work.
Some people focus on their physical health alone. They go to gym, they do skincare, they dress nice, but deep inside them, they are tired, sad and broken. While some focus only on inner peace and forget their body needs care too. A balance is when both are looked after.
Always treat your body with love and respect, and do the same for your mind. Make time for both. If you ever feel off, don’t ignore it. Ask for help. A well rounded health is when your body feels strong and your mind feels at peace. That’s true wellness.
