Relax Indoors or Go Out? My Take on the Perfect Weekend

Almost everyone usually looks forward to the weekend; we just can't wait to get there. Although the desires are the same for most people, the reasons behind them differ per individual. While some people look forward to the weekend as an opportunity to get away from the tedious workload they go through throughout the week and an avenue to relax, others anticipate it for an entirely different reason, which could be going out on an adventure, partying, or engaging in different mind-blowing activities. For me, I've got my desired way of spending the weekend, and in this write-up I'd tell you all about it and why. ![1000380644.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vickoly/2458QMdQCvzAnx8Wk8a3HDEzqfEGtUjKYWymb1JjvPneB6sm2Q3X2c8xsbBUWB1VrWt9Y.jpg) You see, I'm an easygoing individual by nature and an introvert by traits, so that typically means I'd love the quiet life that comes from basking in my own space, relaxing, or spending quality time with my family. And if I were to say the truth, that's exactly how I spend the majority of my weekend. I mostly always look forward to the weekend so I can take a break from my job so I can get to have some time to myself to relax and spend time doing other things I love besides doing my job. My love for quiet and tranquility has been a part of me since I was much younger. When I was young, I barely had any time to myself, both during the weekdays when I went to school and on the weekend when I was at home, and the reason for that isn't far-fetched: I was mostly being tasked with different activities and chores by my elders. This made me despise the weekend when I was younger because, unlike other students who got to rest or use the weekend to rejuvenate, on my path I was left to only move from one chore and errand to another, and that's why, since growing up, I've just loved spending the weekend indoors, either spending it playing video games or watching a movie. Despite my introvert nature and preferences for a quiet weekend spent indoors, on few occasions I do crave a change, to explore the other aspect of the weekend, and even though it's quite rare for me to indulge in this type of weekend lifestyle, on few occasions I give it a shot, and it's just intriguing. On some of those occasions I could attend a party, maybe a wedding ceremony, birthday party, or what have you, or sometimes visit wonderful places with friends, such as a resort, zoo, or park, and the major reason for this is to spend more quality time with my friends and family while creating a lasting memory that'll cement our bond further. ![1000380816.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vickoly/23xKzvkrmmXHq6mEQ5SYaD4L5pd4Uqm8zM12UrxaWb1Wrv7xVLJeKaRmtQjP9PxQLW3Jw.jpg) So in a nutshell, while my preferred way of spending the weekend is through a quiet, relaxing time indoors, on a few occasions I give the outdoors' fun-filled side a try, and it's just as great. Although I'd be fine spending an entire weekend indoors for a three-month stretch, it will be great to go out once in a blue moon during the weekend; that helps me strike a balance and maintain a happy life during the weekend. *** All photos are mine. ***
