As usual I decided to use my grayscale drawing technique to capture all the nuances and details before applying color - it's like diving into an ocean of shadows and lights! I started by tracing the main lines of the Healing Mermaid, outlining her beautiful silhouette and making sure her pose conveyed that sense of grace and healing power. As the lines formed, I could already feel the excitement growing inside me. I knew I was on the right path. I detailed the style of clothing she wears and added in her lap the scepter she carries with her. Then, it was time to add the shadows. I used different shades of gray to give depth and volume to her figure. With each brush stroke, I could see her come to life before my eyes. I marveled at how the soft shadows on her scales and the curve of her tail gave her a magical realism. As I progressed, the drawing began to flow, and my connection with the Healing Mermaid intensified. I felt her healing spirit envelop me as she worked on every detail, from the subtle folds of her tail to her beautiful, lush hair.
