Once again here I am with a new #youhive initiative, I really get excited every time there is a new initiative, but this time I am particularly excited about the topic we are going to discuss, music, as there are many music videos that I would like to analyze in depth and share with you, however for this occasion I will focus on just one, John Lennon's Image, as it has a very special message, worthy of being analyzed, but without further ado I invite you to join me in this entry. >Una vez más aquí me tienen con una nueva iniciativa de #youhive, de verdad que me lleno de entusiasmo cada vez que hay una nueva iniciativa, pero en esta ocasión estoy particularmente entusiasmado por el tema que vamos a tratar, la música, ya que existen muchos videos musicales que me gustaría analizar a profundidad y compartir con ustedes, sin embargo para esta ocasión me voy a concentrar en uno solo, Imagen de John Lennon, ya que tiene un mensaje muy especial, digno de ser analizado, pero sin más preámbulo los invito a acompañarme en esta entrada.

Although it is one of the most minimalist videos ever, it goes very well with the sublime lyrics of the song. At the beginning we can see a couple, John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono walking down a cold and foggy street, which could be a metaphor for what life itself is, so full of uncertainty and sometimes banal concerns, yet it is very rewarding and even relaxing to see this couple walking around while the first chords of the piano are heard. Little by little the path widens until it reaches a garden and there, at the end you can glimpse a huge white house, but what is most striking is that when the couple enters the house there is a close up of a sign that says “This is not here” I take it as a way of saying that when you get to your home, to that place where you feel comfortable and safe, your mind should escape from worries, ignore that everything belongs to a time and a space and you should just enjoy the moment. >A pesar de que es uno de los videos más minimalistas que han existido va muy acorde con la sublime letra de la canción. Al inicio podemos ver a una pareja, John Lennon y su esposa Yoko Ono caminar por una calle fría y llena de neblina, lo cuál podría ser una metáfora de lo que es la vida misma, tan llena de incertidumbre y en ocasiones preocupaciones banales, aún así resulta muy gratificante y hasta relajante ver a esta pareja caminar por ahí mientras se escuchan los primeros acordes del piano. Poco a poco el camino se va ampliando hasta llegar a un jardín y allá, al final, se vislumbra una enorme casa blanca, pero lo que llama más la atención es que cuando la pareja entra a la casa hay un close up de un cartel que dice "This is not here" (esto no está aquí) yo tomo esto como una forma de decir que cuando llegas a tu hogar, a ese lugar en el que te sientes cómodo y seguro, tu mente debería evadirse de preocupaciones, ignorar que todo pertenece a un tiempo y un espacio y solo debes disfrutar del momento.
Upon entering the house Lennon sits at the piano to play, but the house is in darkness because all the windows are closed, however as the video progresses, Yoko begins to open the windows, which I interpret in this way: as our life progresses we are closed to many ideas and new concepts, we cling to conventionalisms, but as we gain experience little by little we let in the light of knowledge that makes us wiser, warmer, on the other hand the white color that predominates in much of the video could represent the purity of a soul that constantly seeks peace.
Al entrar a la casa Lennon se sienta al piano para tocar, pero la casa está en penumbras debido a que todas las ventanas están cerradas, sin embargo conforme avanza el video, Yoko comienza a abrir las ventanas, lo cual yo interpreto de esta manera: a medida que nuestra vida avanza estamos cerrados a muchas ideas y nuevos conceptos, nos aferramos a los convencionalismos, pero conforme vamos adquiriendo experiencia poco a poco vamos dejando pasar la luz del conocimiento que nos vuelve más sabios, más cálidos, por otra parte el color blanco que predomina en gran parte del video podría representar la pureza de un alma que busca constantemente la paz.
Almost at the end we can see the couple together, they even kiss in front of the camera, but more than a romantic expression I think this is a symbol of union, a way to show us that there is nothing more beautiful than sharing ideals with those you love and that in the union is strength, when two or more people work together for a noble cause there are more chances of success because the work is doubled, you put twice the passion and commitment.
Ya casi al final podemos ver a la pareja junta, incluso se dan un beso frente a la cámara, pero más que una expresión romántica yo creo que esto es un símbolo de unión, una forma de mostrarnos que no hay nada más hermoso que compartir ideales con aquellos que amas y que en la unión está la fuerza, cuando dos o más personas trabajan conjuntamente por una causa noble hay más posibilidades de éxito porque el trabajo se duplica, le pones el doble de pasión y empeño.
