Hello everyone, it’s an opportunity to participate in this week’s prompt. The topic “my ultimate purchase” caught my attention hence I submit my entry. Many people have things in mind to purchase if they have a certain amount of money, but for me, nothing else stands taller than getting a spacious and comfortable apartment.
I don’t know why I crave a comfortable apartment if I have a certain amount of money. This might be because of the type of house we lived in as a family. I was raised in a small house, a ghetto house where everything was not really comfortable. I can recall that the house was so small that we had to have a separate building for our kitchen and separate rooms for the bathroom and toilet. The toilet and bathroom were a makeshift building that I was so uncomfortable using. I always have in mind that whenever I make money, I will return home and renovate the house for my parents.
Notwithstanding, even after I left home for school, I never lived in a comfortable apartment that I desired. While in school, I was unable to get a good and comfortable apartment because of a paucity of funds. Lack of Money has been a major setback for me in getting my desired apartment, and it is also coupled with the increase in the price of house rent. I just hope that the government can do something about it. During my time in school, I rented a single room apartment that was not okay with me. I had to manage it till I was done with school. After school, I had to face the same issue. The house I am currently living in is small though it’s better than the one I lived in during school.
Although getting a good and spacious apartment will not be an easy task for low-income earners like myself, my prayer is that, one day when a certain amount of money enters my account, the first project I will embark upon will be to build a new house for myself and to also renovate my family's house in the suburb.
My dream apartment is such that I can do everything within without stepping out. As an indoor person, it will be convenient for me to have all I need within my apartment. Also, the location would be in a quiet and serene environment. I hate noise and busy areas. I love interacting with nature, hence my love for trees and gardening. Anything other than this is a turn-off for me. Where I am living currently is, for the most part, and since I do not have the money needed to get a new apartment, I do not have any option but to manage it for now, hoping for a breakthrough in finance.
