I have heard many people share their experiences on how they transcended from grace to grass as a result of some silly decisions they took. I have been there, I could relate to how demeaning and disappointing that could be. I have taken countless risks in this life, but one risk that took me from grace to grass was investing in forex. Yes forex, you heard me right.
I know of many people who have made it in life by trading the forex market, but my own case has been a nightmare from the time I was introduced to it. Forex trading is deadly and can eventually turn people's fortunes either positively or negatively.
At first, I was thinking that I was wrongly introduced to it which is why I was experiencing a downturn. Many people I have met on this journey happen to have the same experience. That has made me conclude that forex trading might not be healthy for everyone.
Three years ago, a friend of mine introduced me to forex trading, he was having results, living very well, and I was eager to learn. I paid a certain amount of money for mentorship, and after two months, I was done with the training. I began to invest my money and time into it.
Along the line, I began to be addicted to it such that I began to borrow money from different sources after I had exhausted my money. It got to the point that every penny I made would go into trading, and by the end, the money would be gone.
I had to move on to getting loans from loan sharks for trading. Till today, I can't pay off some of those loans. The last straw that broke the camel's back was when I sold off my business to fund my trading account with the hope of recovering all my losses. In the end, I lost everything.
With all of these, my financial life was badly affected, so that I couldn't pay bills any longer, I couldn't buy dresses, and worst of all, I couldn't renew my house rent. It was so bad that I almost sold off my house equipment to survive. Everything about me went down. My feeding was also affected.
When I realised that there was no hope, I had to put an end to every form of trading and to build myself up in another aspect of life. It's been over a year I have not been able to recover from the uncalculated risk I took.
From this experience, I have come to realise that some risks are not worth taking. Some risks will make you while some dethrone you.
Many people, as a result of the risk they took they have remained in grass, and there's no hope of getting to grace again.
