Bereits kurz nach dem tragischen Attentat auf den konservativen Aktivisten Charlie Kirk hat Social Media und alternative Medien das Attentat Frame by Frame analysiert und den Tathergang rekonstruiert.
Anscheinend befand sich der Schütze etwa 200 Yard (180 Meter) auf einem Dach eines nahegelegenen Gebäudes und hatte von dort eine direkte Schusslinie auf das Podium von Kirk.
Waffen-Experten gehen davon aus, dass so ein Schuss für einen geübten Schützen mit dem richtigen Equipment bei günstigen Windbedingungen durchaus möglich ist. Vor allem da sich Kirk auf der Bühne kaum bewegt und sitzend geantwortet hat. Ganz einfach ist ein gezielter Headshot mit nur einem Schuss aber auch nicht.
Paramount Tactical auf YouTube denkt, dass Kirk eine kugelsichere Platte unter seinem T-Shirt getragen haben könnte und diese eigentlich ungünstig getroffen wurde und das Projektil in den Hals reflektierte.
Die wichtigere Frage ist aber, ob die Bühne und Kirk von seinem eigenen Security-Team und dem Sicherheitsbehörden der Utah Valley University in Orem ausreichend geschützt wurde.
Kirk war in den USA bereits so etwas wie eine Polit-Celebrity, in den Medien und vor allem im Internet sehr bekannt, und wurde auch von Forbes in der Liste 30 unter 30 gefeatured.
Wie konnte der Schütze unbemerkt auf das Dach nahe der Bühne klettern und von dort mit einer Langwaffe agieren und ungehindert flüchten?
In der heutigen Zeit hätten ein paar billige FPV-Drohnen die gesamte Szene und sämtliche Dächer effektiv überwachen können.

Shortly after the tragic assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, social media and alternative media analyzed the assassination frame by frame and reconstructed the course of events.
Apparently, the shooter was located about 200 yards (180 meters) away on the roof of a nearby building and had a direct line of sight to Kirk's podium from there.
Weapons experts believe that such a shot is entirely possible for a skilled shooter with the right equipment and favorable wind conditions. This is especially true since Kirk hardly moved on stage and answered questions while seated. However, a targeted headshot with only one shot is not that easy to achieve.
Paramount Tactical on YouTube thinks that Kirk may have been wearing a bulletproof plate under his T-shirt, which was actually hit at an unfavorable angle and caused the projectile to deflect into his neck.
The more important question, however, is whether the stage and Kirk were adequately protected by his own security team and the security authorities at Utah Valley University in Orem.
Kirk was already something of a political celebrity in the US, well known in the media and especially on the internet, and was also featured in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list.
How was the shooter able to climb onto the roof near the stage unnoticed, fire a long-range weapon from there, and escape unhindered?
Nowadays, a few inexpensive FPV drones could have effectively monitored the entire scene and all nearby roofs.
