La lectura: un proceso que humaniza, acerca e integra a la sociedad | 8 de septiembre - Día Internacional de la Alfabetización [ES/EN]

La lectura es un proceso muy importante en nuestro desarrollo. Leer nos permite encontrar distintas posturas sobre un tema en particular, que no debemos imitar, sino tomar lo que se adapte más a nuestra forma de pensar, con el fin de construir nuestro propio criterio con base al uso de la razón. Así es que leer da lugar al pensamiento crítico, con lo que podremos diferenciarnos del resto por el solo hecho de haber formalizado una personalidad. Leer también es motivo para decir que uno cada día es más sabio. El conocimiento se nutre a través de las letras. Los textos suelen ser extensos en muchos casos, pero entender sobre lo que uno lee hará que este proceso sea cada vez más placentero. Sabiendo que estamos en el Día Internacional de la Alfabetización, es motivo suficiente para destacar lo positivo de leer; algo que no se está considerando mucho, por cierto. >Reading is a very important process in our development. Knowledge is nourished through letters. Texts are often lengthy in many cases, but understanding what we read will make this process increasingly enjoyable. Esto es consistente en cuanto mantengamos esta actividad. Posiblemente un escritor que ha dejado de escribir un tiempo, tenga dificultades para volver a la práctica. Entonces necesitamos de la lectura para dejar fluir nuestras ideas, que dicho sea de paso, se plasman en la improvisación. No siempre uno tiene un esquema sobre qué va a escribir. Excepto cuando uno se sostiene en subtítulos, en los que debe construir los párrafos que desarrollen esa idea. Aquí podemos observar que hemos encontrado una habilidad innata, que está en el interior de cada uno de nosotros, pero que debemos estimular para "hacerla resurgir". Al tener un conocimiento más profundo sobre la lectura, la escritura estará facilitada en la construcción de un tipo de esquema mental que podemos priorizar. Otra de las cosas que me gustaría mencionar sobre la alfabetización es que abre un gran abanico de posibilidades. Posiblemente quien incursiona en la lectura y escritura, estará de forma gradual capacitándose a cubrir diferentes nichos. Yo soy un caso en el que habiendo escritor literatura por mucho tiempo, pude pasar gradualmente a escribir sobre el mundo de las criptomonedas. No ha sido una transición sencilla, pero si no hubiese leído diversos artículos respecto a estas tecnologías financieras, poco podría haber dicho. No se trata solo de entender, sino de cuestionarse. En muchos casos podemos llegar a leer cosas que no tienen consistencia, o que al menos, despiertan un sentido de que algo no está bien. Ahí entra el poder de la investigación y el criterio propio, para acercarse más a una versión adaptada a la realidad y al funcionamiento de un sistema complejo. Una de las certezas que podemos mencionar es que la alfabetización también nos deja en una posición positiva en la sociedad. Podremos destacar en lo que nos guste hacer, porque en muchos casos, hay actividades que deberemos atravesar en algún momento, como lo es la escritura de una tesis, una carta de presentación, un artículo de investigación, etc. Es algo que cuando nos toque, sabremos desenvolvernos, o tener un impacto que sume. Leer es algo que resulta flexible. La lectura no mide en qué clase social te encuentres, pues permite que todos podamos participar en la búsqueda de un mismo fin, otorgándonos una serie de oportunidades que debemos escalar en nuestro aprendizaje, logrando una calidad de vida superior, fomentando nuestras habilidades que nos hará profesionales algún día. >The more one reads, the more skilled one becomes at writing. In many cases, we may read things that are inconsistent, or at least give us the feeling that something is not right. This is where the power of research and personal judgment come in, to get closer to a version that is adapted to reality and the functioning of a complex system. > >One thing we can say for sure is that literacy also puts us in a positive position in society. We can excel at what we like to do because, in many cases, there are activities we will have to do at some point, such as writing a thesis, a cover letter, a research article, etc. It's something that, when the time comes, we will know how to do, or have a positive impact. > >Reading is flexible.
