It was on the first week of August 2024 when I had my ultrasound and the doctor announced, “It’s a baby girl!”. My husband and I never thought and expected it for we had already successive male/boy children. We are both thankful to God for granting us three healthy, talented, and skilled boys. The announcement made us so happy and very excited that our soon baby girl is coming.

Almost everybody in the family and even in the church is very much excited waiting for her. They even included us in prayers during our prayer meetings every Sunday evening. My niece bought some clothes for the baby. My fellow teacher offered me a bag of used clothes and socks. Receiving those things made us so grateful that I could save and spend my money on other baby’s needs like milk, wipes, diapers, distilled water, and feeding bottles.

And on October 27, 2024, at almost 2:00 am., I delivered safely a healthy and lovely baby girl. During the labor, the midwife and her assistant did their best for me to have a normal delivery. I was placed in the delivery at 10:00 pm. on October 26, 2024. At exactly 1:00 a.m. on October 27, 2024, I requested my husband to get inside. And there, he assisted me by holding my two knees and encouraged me to push hard. And there, our princess came out with a loud cry, “Oha! Oha! Oha!. The baby weighed 3, 900 grams. She is the heaviest among the four of them.

Every born baby is a miracle baby. Fortunately, I have four miracle babies that God had gifted us. Having four children is not planned by us, for carrying a baby inside my womb for nine months, is quite tough. Rather, how much more it would be upon or during the delivery. As for me, it is the toughest and the most tragic event in life because it is between life and death. But through constant prayers, most deliveries are successful. If it is the will of God, He will let us survive. So, for those young ones out there, “Do not be afraid to build a family and have a baby in due time”.

Currently, our baby is almost 5 months old. Her name is Reina Faith S. Ycot. I put faith in her name because, by faith, I was able to deliver her successfully. Her father called her baby “Xoxo”. My nieces and friends called her “Diday”. She is a well-behaved baby. She will cry a little if she is hungry or sleepy. She is also a keen-observer one. The moment we talk, sing, and dance in front of her, she will look at us closely and always keep on smiling. She is also our happy pill. The moment I held her, I forgot all the stresses and tiredness I had in the day.

Baby Reina had her “Dedication Day” last December 29, 2024, in our church. Pastor Jorge Ursal solemnized the dedication ceremony. Some of my colleagues and friends came and sponsored/witnessed Baby Reina’s Dedication.

Indeed, it was a simple yet successful celebration. To all my new friends out there, thank you once again for reading, voting, reblogging, and commenting on this new blog of mine @villafe.
