Unpaywall is one of the greatest research tools you will ever come across for free and it is going to save you a lot of money and everything is going to be legal.

What It Does

When you view a paywalled scholarly article, Unpaywall automatically checks its open database of 16 million legal, open-access articles. If there's an open version somewhere, you'll see a green tab on the article. Click the tab and read for free, legally! - Unpaywall is free and open sourced under MIT/X11 License

Next time you see a research paper on the internet, just enable the extension and pray that there is a legally uploaded free version of it online. Depending on your research obsession you could be saving 100s of USD per month.
