Halo book worm...

These days, finding interesting books at every MRT station is incredibly easy. Interestingly, I always find back-published novels—those that were once on my wishlist because of their captivating covers. They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but I've always found myself drawn to novels simply because of their covers. I remember buying a novel with a swan-like cover. Luckily, I also liked the story, so I've never been put off buying a novel by its beautiful cover.
Just like the reason I picked this novel up on the shelf was because of its beautiful cover. This novel is in the metropop genre, a genre that relates to the novel I'm currently writing, so it's perfect for triggering a sense of romance.

**Que Queen**

Que Queen tells the story of a woman named Ella and her husband, Jordan. This isn't a romantic tale about a couple; you won't find any cringe-worthy scenes here. Ella and Jordan are a married couple whose life is almost perfect. The reason for this is that after several years of marriage, they haven't been blessed with children. Ella is busy with her pastry job, while Jordan is also busy with his. Their relationship is smooth sailing, until the "cursed" question arises: When will they have children?
Ella and Jordan finally decide to have their condition checked out at a gynecological clinic that specializes in accelerating fertility. Everything goes smoothly, and there are no problems for either of them. However, when Ella finally gets pregnant, she can't keep the pregnancy. After experiencing a miscarriage, Ella has to face the fact that she has fibroids.
This novel is a lighthearted metropop novel, with themes that resonate with society in general. It's like a never-ending phase. You know, when you're single, people will often ask, "When are you getting married?" Then, after you're married, another question will arise: "When are you having kids?" Well, as long as we live, these "when, when, and when" questions will never end.
Regina Alexandra, a pastry chef, has written this novel with a very lighthearted style, using language that's very accessible and easy to digest. I really enjoyed the transitions from one scene to another. Regina's strength is creating themes that relate to life after marriage. Even though I'm still single, I can relate to Ella's experiences as a woman. I would like it, all the burdens of life are too heavy for women. When a woman fails to conceive, she has to endure another kind of pain, a seemingly endless suffering.
I rated this book with 3 star from 5 star.

Vivie Hardika
Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
