Halo book worm... ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmYqhGjtphQL8ogXgs5UE4aPWBVGhSn6bNmJFmxkMojv3x/img_1547.jpeg) It's been a long time since I've read a teenlit novel from an author on my Facebook friends list. After all, teenlit is my first genre, so I was eager to reread it. Coincidentally, on my Instagram feed, one of the authors I know was promoting her online talk show. I was intrigued. Long story short, I ended up ordering the book being discussed. The title of the book was "Si Jago" by Iwok Abqary Let's get it ------- **Si Jago by Iwok Abqary** ---- ------- ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmWcKCDeb1gVMLDsZJRt4sytXjKeSQsBKMN9UrM12WCqyE/img_1551.jpeg) Si Jago tells the story of the friendship between Jodi and Beno, who had just graduated from vocational high school. Before entering college, they began to feel restless because they had nothing to do. One day, Jodi's mother gave him an inheritance from his late father. What surprised him was that the gift was an old-fashioned iron that didn't use electricity. Unsure of what to do with it, Jodi came up with the idea of opening an ironing service. Together with Beno, they opened a laundry business. While running this small laundry business, they encountered strange things, but they were quickly resolved well until finally a conflict occurred between Jodi and Beno. Jodi experienced difficult days after Beno decided to leave their business. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmf1YzXg6PrJSnaEVWjB1g8WboKTMVBpAbanUoLBv39MR4/img_1548.jpeg) True to its genre, Si Jago is a light read. It felt like I was transported back to my first time reading a teenlit comedy. This novel was written by a veteran author who has published many similar teenlit novels, so when I encountered the jokes in this novel, I didn't laugh but reacted, as expected. Yes, the jokes narrated in the novel seemed familiar to me in other teenlit novels. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmQS4YaPs41CTfsbSvAPUxNgAwUWjNywYAYUPRkxzEuAoN/img_1550.jpeg) This novel is short with 10 chapters. Although it's a light read, there's still something to be learned. It's the author's way of narrating Jodi and Beno's story—it seems to be a parody of the Jodi & Ben story in the book Filosopi Kopi, and it's very humorous. I'm glad I was able to enjoy and read this novel quickly, because that way I could finish another book on my list. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmUYzYBSfe1GiNV5Fn8JZd4q3wc1nnbtuTewSrGBua3o5b/img_1549.jpeg) I rated this book with 3 star from 5 star. -------- *Thanks in advance guys, to read my blog and hope you like my post!* *See you on the next post...* ----- -------

Vivie Hardika Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy. I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance. Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
