Halo Buddies...

I'm sure when you travel to a new place, you'll love exploring the coffee shops in the area. It reminds me of the other day in Japan when I saw an interesting and unique coffee shop. When night fell, I went there, but unfortunately, it was closed. I regretted it. I didn't have much time to spend in the coffee shop, so I didn't even stop by.
That reminds me that when I travel to a new place, stopping by a coffee shop is a must. It's the same as when I'm on a break from work; I always look for a trendy coffee shop. When I travel, I also need a break to linger in one place before exploring another.
Like at #HiveFest yesterday. After a busy three-day schedule, Aswita and I decided to go to a cafe. Mach actually recommended this cafe. He told Aswita he'd found a cozy place to have a beer. When we asked if they also served coffee, he said yes, and we went there the next day.
So, this is a cozy coffee shop amidst the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. ***The Neighbor Club.***

Interestingly, The Neighbor Club is located near the Hive Fest Day 1 conference venue, Rex KL. Plus, there are plenty of Indian restaurants nearby, so I didn't have to go far for lunch.
***By the way, welcome to Neighbor Club… What would you like to order?***

This cafe is located on Jalan Sultan, a culinary area, and it's the only one with a yellow sign, making it very easy to find. When we entered, the cafe was still quiet. There were only a few people waiting for their orders while chatting. Aswita and I put down our laptops first before ordering—yup, Aswita and I were planning to work from the cafe, I mean, writing Hive at the Cafe hehehe…

A fun fact about Neighbor Club is that it only has one employee. So she takes orders, mixes the coffee, bakes the cakes, and does it all herself. Very busy. Amazingly, she manages to do it. She's not intimidated by anything. I don't know whether to pity her or commend her, because working alone in a crowded cafe is certainly very difficult.

***Here we sat...***
Since we came to drink coffee and write, Wita and I decided to sit alone—we didn't share a seat so we could focus on writing instead of chatting. LOL.

***...and here was my coffee Latte and Apple Crumble Pie...***

Neighbor Club actually has a wide variety of coffee options, but I didn't know how to order the best-selling coffee. So I'll keep it simple: a coffee latte! Another reason was because I wanted something a little sweet, not straight black coffee. So I just ordered a latte.

This latte has a strong coffee flavor, which I really like. At first sip, it's a little bitter, but as you take the second sip and beyond, it starts to get delicious—how do you describe a coffee that suits you? I feel that way… This coffee is sooowww goood!
***Apple Crumble Pie***

I loved this part. It was an apple crumble pie with—oh, I forget what was in it, but it was absolutely delicious. Interestingly, popcorn was added as a topping. I usually don't like creamer, but the cream in this apple crumble pie was so addictive. So I finished it all by myself…

A coffee latte and apple crumble pie are truly a delicious combination for writing. I highly recommend this cafe for those planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur. It's conveniently located near the Petaling Street shops. Its unique decor makes it easy to spot.

Hasta La Vista...

Vivie Hardika
Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
