Halo ASEAN Buddies... ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmfQVCdVuv2cXy3yegkxnQwHFy4mkTXGENM6Kc1u6wrRLg/img_1571_1_.jpeg) Those who have traveled abroad will definitely relate to this post. What I want to convey is the vibe and feel. Every year, or at certain times, travelers inevitably return to their hometowns, and so do I. Since moving to Jakarta eight years ago, I've always returned once a year. Whether it's during a holiday or not, I always return once a year. This year was no different. I was supposed to return home for Eid, but this year I didn't because my parents were visiting in Jakarta. So I missed the Eid celebrations at my hometown. This time, I hadn't planned to return, but a promotional ticket from Indonesia's best airline suddenly came along. I was very interested in returning to my hometown. So, here's my little story of returning home with Indonesia's best airline, Garuda Indonesia. | ![img_1566.jpeg](https://images.ecency.com/DQmXQiaDCT5s3hfXuDWDLyfJ4t2US8eKToCuH43fQRozfS9/img_1566.jpeg) | ![img_1570.jpeg](https://images.ecency.com/DQmW2LR3yk6ynWC3VnJPvQXSwfv8YFvmN7BTG5MQBuXxjDb/img_1570.jpeg) | | ---| ---| My departure was at 6 a.m. I deliberately took the first flight so I could arrive early and not get home too late. You see, the plane ride to my hometown is about 2.5 hours, while the trip home takes 3-4 hours. So I'd be on the road all day. This time, I wasn't departing from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, but from a smaller airport, Halim Perdanakesuma Airport. It's a small airport, so you don't have to rush when time catches up. My wait went smoothly, and I was about to fly... ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmPJEaBi6aiQffUdNpDb2mtjQ7SgqhbyfJzbQ68MpBeCvV/img_1575.jpeg) One of the benefits of this flight—even though it's only two hours long, you still get a substantial meal. Of the two options, omelet and rendang rice, I chose the omelet. I wasn't in the mood to chew rice. That would have been difficult, so I chose the omelet. This is what the meal was like. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmaF78aT9EFDJVBQfUiFgcpgQDG6PauF6FeCASyLj1ujPf/img_1584.jpeg) My breakfast was at 3,200 feet above the city of Palembang, still halfway through the flight. It was a substantial and delicious breakfast. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmYKXJNUo6EkLKhKFsYKRzKJbRTxkVW1LtA2YEjsvvWjFT/img_1580.jpeg) ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmbTXRkQHX8rWAG33fN5EhXwwz7gh5VXEB3L8dotkbTgRx/img_1578.jpeg) ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmRFg1myts6w6JuYmGRLfJjD4718BMFNs9r2ywbMq4N8L1/img_1582.jpeg) The great thing about this breakfast is the cutlery—it's truly eco-friendly. I love it! ------ ![img_1567.jpeg](https://images.ecency.com/DQma9G7315MRJTfYksuJEM8xULEybJNNYSN5rUsbpY3DitQ/img_1567.jpeg) I arrived safe and sound at Kuala Namu Airport, but my journey was still long. Hasta La Vista... ------- *Thanks in advance, to read my blog and hope you like my post!* *See you on the next post...* ----- -------

Vivie Hardika Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy. I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance. Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
