Travel Journal - Jakarta: Chillin Beside the Canal of La Riviera, The Dutch City, PIK 2

This country, somehow, is written in history books as having colonized Indonesia for quite a long time. This was because there was something in Indonesia that the Dutch wanted to take, whether it was its natural resources or its territory. But I don't want to delve into the long history of Indonesia and the Netherlands, which might re-open the wounds of our freedom fighters. At this time, I'm gonna share a place on the outskirts of Jakarta dedicated to experiencing the canal vibe of that famous Dutch city. It's a commercial complex called La Riviera, located in Pondok Indah Kapuk 2, or PIK 2. Let's get it! The other day, I took a trip on my own—usually not far from Jakarta. I once went to PIK 2 with my colleagues and discovered that there are many places to visit around the coast. Therefore, when I had the opportunity to travel alone, I chose to go to PIK 2 and one of the places I visited was La Riviera – this Dutch city.  What I love about the trip to PIK 2 is the ease of public transportation. If you take a photo on the bridge and show the canal, then you say you're in Europe, people will probably believe you. This is a pretty brilliant idea, in my opinion. Being in this complex in mild weather will make you feel the melancholy vibe of Europe when it rains.  This is my favorite angle. Looking at the buildings from the bridge makes me feel like I'm in a beautiful, cool, breezy, and comfortable place. Unfortunately, the gloomy sky above—not blue—almost ruins the whole dream of true Europe.       This complex has many miniature displays to help you feel like you're truly seeing Europe. There are miniature hot air balloons, windmills, and even giant shoes. All of them are truly unique. I'm eagerly awaiting the completion of this complex because I'm so curious about what will be there. I hope there's a space where I can work on my laptop while viewing the entire complex, so I can truly feel like I'm in Europe. What about you? Have you ever been here? Anyway...
