Travel Journal - Jakarta: Side by Side with The Cove at Batavia, PIK

Let me invite you to see the Jakarta sea through Cove, a top-notch dining spot with ocean views, The Cove at Batavia PIK. Let's get it! -------- **The Cove at Batavia** ------- ---------  If I'm not mistaken, Cove is a take on the Venezia concept of a dining venue with a beautiful view of the beach and bridge. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the tenants were still closed. It's possible they open their doors in the afternoon and evening. Apparently, there's a colorful fountain show from the bridge at night. I couldn't wait until nightfall, as I assumed it would be very crowded. But it wasn't completely empty; I wasn't the only one there. I noticed a few groups chatting at the end of the Cove. Some were eating lunch, others were probably discussing business. It was just that there was no one in the hallway.  This is the pier where you can board the ship. The ship is called Batavia Ship PIK which you can board by paying around IDR 78,000/per person. If you board this ship you will get a sunset view, so it would be better if you board it in the afternoon. If it's too late it will be very hot, right? The route this ship passes is the bridge of the gods and the mangrove forest. When it's hot and you see the cacti, you'll feel like you're in Texas. Also, this vending machine caught my eye. It's the only vending machine there, and it looks really cool.  The Cove area is quite breezy, so even though it's hot, the wind is quite strong, it balances things out. I loved being at the edge of the cove. If there was a more suitable spot there, I might have sat for a while, looking out at the ocean. So, it was a pretty impressive short visit. I'm looking forward to my next visit at night so I can see the rainbow fountain.
