Hello good people on hive...

>edited by canva
This is my story in my favorite country, Singapore. After strolling around Gardens by the Bay, I walked, intending to head to my next destination. I forgot where I was going, but I followed the signs. When I'm in Singapore, public transportation is very convenient; I'm addicted to it. So, to get from one place to another, I used whatever was closest. Unexpectedly, on the other side of Gardens by the Bay, there was a sign indicating another MRT station nearby. I was curious, because going back to the station I came from was too far. So I decided to head to the other station.
I got lost again. I circled around many places just to find the MRT, but the good thing happened: I saw another place where I wanted to sit for a while and enjoy the surrounding air.
It was Dragonfly Island. It's right next to Gardens by the Bay, also below the Marina Bay Hotel.
Let's get it!

**The Dragonfly Island**

This view is what drew me closer. When I first arrived, I didn't know I could also see this iconic building. I thought it would be in another part of Singapore, but it turned out to be close to Gardens by the Bay. Of course, since I felt like I had already seen this building up close, I had to get even closer, or if possible, I had to enter this building, even if only briefly—in the free entry section. But before that, I did stop by Dragonfly Island and enjoy the dancing fountains.

This is the road I took before arriving at Dragonfly Island through the dragonfly bridge. It's the area behind the super tree. I was a bit exhausted, and the weather was incredibly hot. My legs felt heavy as I walked. I briefly considered taking a cart, but I later learned that it was a paid ride. Luckily, I didn't insist on going around the cart. You know I love free travel, lol.

Some parts of Garden By the Bay are undergoing repairs, restoration, or rejuvenation, whatever you'll call it. It's marked by the presence of those big cars. I was a little worried when I passed this section. I was afraid I'd be unlucky and end up with something bad. Luckily, that didn't happen, and I guess I was overthinking it. But the good thing about this section is—from here, I can see both the Supertree and Marina Bay. And… the surroundings are so clean, love it!

I've arrived at the Dragonfly Island area, not the main area, but from here you can see a lake? River? Or just a pond? Whatever, but in this area it feels very fresh just by looking at the stagnant water. It's indeed too dark green, but the fountains on several sides make it feel refreshing. In this area there are also lots of grass and shady trees.
Look at the photo above, you think you want to fall asleep there, right? Under the shady trees with the view of Marina Bay, also the water of the pond and the sound of trickling water, all of it makes you want to fall asleep for a moment, right? That's how I felt when I passed by. But because I still have other schedules, I think I should come back here another time, when I have explored all of Singapore.

The highlight of Dragonfly Islands is this area, where there are many dragonfly statues above the water. If I'm not mistaken, there are about 7 or 8 large dragonfly statues around the fountain. Around the water, there is a stage for visitors to sit and take photos. You can even walk around the edge to see the dragonfly statues.

After enjoying myself sitting around the pool, I moved on and climbed the viral escalator, discovering that the view from up there was simply the best. Besides, it's one of the ways to the MRT station and closer to the Marina Bay Hotel. Yup, that escalator finally allowed me to enter the iconic Marina Bay Hotel. But I don't want to talk about the building itself, but rather the view I got from there. Take a closer look...

Singapore is a very relaxing city, and you can't just visit it once, even if you only need a week to explore every corner of Singapore. I've been to this small country twice and still haven't explored all the places and discovered its hidden gems. I think I want to visit it twice more this year, and hopefully, this dream will come true soon.
Hasta La Vista...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
