Hello and good morning, my dear HIVE-MARGARITA community. How have you been? I hope you are all well and have had a good week. Yesterday, Saturday, September 27, I went on a trip with my mom, my aunt @nvh2911, and her son to buy the heels I will wear for my graduation. I already bought the fabric for the dress last Saturday, but I absolutely need the heels to determine the length of the dress. So, I thought I would write a post about that day looking for heels, but it turned out to be anything but heels. When we arrived in Porlamar to see if we could find any heels, we didn't see any that matched the style I was looking for or the price I could afford. So, logically, since it's very difficult to find elegant party shoes in downtown Porlamar these days, we decided to go to shopping malls where it's more common to find stores with that type of footwear. First, we went to the Sambil shopping center and walked through the entire place from top to bottom. We found two stores with heels that matched what I was looking for, Forever 21 and Bandolera. In the first one, we found the right heels, shiny silver as I wanted, with a thick heel, as I wanted, with a safety strap, as I wanted, and even covered toes, which for me was more of an option. They even had a 25% discount, but when I went to ask for a size 38 (yes, I don't have Disney princess feet), the girl who helped me told me that they only had size 36, which was the one on display in the window. So I asked about the heels next to them, which were also shiny silver, with an elastic strap at the back to hold your foot in place, a beautiful strip of sparkles at the front, and a more or less thick heel. They were rather asymmetrical, and the sales assistant replied that only the size on display was available, i.e., size 40. Then when we went to Bandolera, we found heels more like the model I wanted, but very few in silver, and the ones that were silver were a dull silver and didn't look as nice or eye-catching, but they would do, so when we left, we decided to go to La Vela shopping center to see more options in their stores, otherwise I would have to settle for the dull heels from Bandolera. We took a bus and went to La Vela shopping center, and on the way, I saw places that my college friends always mentioned to me, such as Family Market, Mercado la Isla, and Margarita City Place. When we arrived, I was a little excited because I would see the Forever 21 store, since the Sambil branch and the Shoebox store only sell shoes and accessories. I also wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to go to the Calvin Klein store and take a photo with the poster of Jung Kook, my favorite singer and brand ambassador (every time a friend went to La Vela, she would take a photo there and send it to me), so I always wanted to go just for that. And to be honest, in my 22 years of life, I've been to La Vela about three times, and I think yesterday was the third time. We never went to that mall, and the last time I went was about two and a half years ago when a godmother took me, and I only went to a children's play area since it was her grandson's birthday, and it was even before the new part was built. So we took this opportunity as our first official visit to La Vela Shopping Center, and personally, I have certain opinions about it, but overall, I was disappointed by what I saw and how I felt. Good things I liked: the air conditioning cools and works very well, the atmosphere and decor are good, and the security guards and workers are very friendly. I wanted to see the new skating rink and the new food court, but since we live so far away, we couldn't stay longer to continue looking around, plus we didn't have money for dessert, haha. Things I didn't like: well, yes, they put in new wings and everything, but there isn't a single sign to guide you, and we went around in circles looking for shoe stores. The same stores that were in Sambil and the stores that sell there in general are expensive. Yes, as you heard, they are expensive. I felt like a fish out of water, like a poor girl. Every breath you take there is about money and high society, haha. And to top it off, at Calvin Klein they had taken down the Jung Kook poster, and that's when I ended up feeling sad. I couldn't believe that (party) heels were that expensive and that at the main Forever 21 store there wasn't a single model of the heels I was looking for, So I hope that by going to the Parque Costa Azul shopping center, I can find something good. If not, I'll have to settle for the opaque Bandolera heels from Sambil. So I went back to town and ended up with no photo of Jung Kook and no silver heels for graduation... Do you know of any stores that sell the style of party heels I'm looking for?
