Escribir una tesis #3/ Write a tessis #3

 Hola a todos, ¿cómo se encuentran hoy? Lamento la tardanza por la tercera y última parte de mi mega aventura escribiendo mi tesis, pero como típica venezolana que soy, se me fue el internet y la señal que tengo no levanta muy bien que digamos. Como les comenté anteriormente en el segundo post, por falta de dinero paralice un trimestre de mi carrera, entre eso paralice mi tesis. Y algunos se preguntarán ¿ por qué la paralicé y no la seguí escribiendo en ese tiempo? Bueno, si me habrán leído bien, se darán cuenta que la universidad y la creación de trabajos de grado se rige por un mega manual que hay que seguir rigurosamente, además de que la materia en la que debía de estar cursando y editando mi tesis era súper primordial, ya que era ahí donde me dirían si lo que hice en “Seminario” estaba bien o no. así que decidí dejar mi tesis así.     Ya cuando volví a recolectar todo el dinero junto con mi familia, me pude inscribir en la materia y al llegar fue como un balde de agua fría para mí. Esta materia era muy específica y rigurosa, no todos los trabajos de grado que creabas en “Seminario” terminaban en esta materia 100% exactos a como los escribiste la primera vez. Mi profesora no era una mujer ni mala, ni déspota, solo me indicaba que mi tesis no podía ser tal cual como yo la quería ya que sería una tesis muy extensa. “si no reduces un poco la temática, terminarás con un monstruo de 7 cabezas en tus manos” fue lo que me dijo mi querida profesora y tutora Calzadilla, así que con todo el dolor de mi alma tuve que buscar la alternativa correcta para reducir mi tesis sin que se perdiera la esencia que me enamoró para escribirla en 1er lugar. Entonces pensé que, si mi idea principal era someter textos legales, médicos, literarios y científicos bajo la traducción de máquinas automáticas, la inteligencia artificial y la traducción hecha por un humano, tenía que reducir eso y elegir una sola categoría, y como obviamente me gusta escribir elegí el texto literario. Y es ahí cuando surgió la otra interrogante, ¿Qué obra literaria iba a usar para hacer las traducciones? Pasaron los días y después de mucha lectura de obras literarias de escritores latinos y venezolanos con párrafos interminables, decidí que por accesibilidad y comodidad la obra elegida sería la famosa novela latinoamericana “Cien Años de Soledad” de Gabriel García Márquez, ya que no se contaba en la universidad con la versión al inglés de “Doña Bárbara” de Rómulo Gallegos y mucho menos se encontraba una versión gratuita en internet de la misma. Fue exhaustivo el análisis, fue estresante cada una de las ediciones, fue matador el crear cada aspecto del desarrollo, pero al final todo el esfuerzo valió la pena, porque el día 25 de marzo del año 2025 pude hacer presentación de mi muy apreciado trabajo. Empecé mis estudios sin una idea de que hacer y los culminé con un trabajo que salió de mi corazón y mi alma. I apologize for the delay in posting the third and final part of my mega adventure writing my thesis, but as a typical Venezuelan, my internet went down and the signal I have isn't very good, to say the least. As I mentioned in my second post, due to a lack of money, I had to put my studies on hold for a semester, which meant putting my thesis on hold as well. Some of you may be wondering why I put it on hold and didn't continue writing it during that time. Well, if you've read me correctly, you'll realize that the university and the creation of degree projects are governed by a mega manual that must be followed rigorously, in addition to the fact that the subject I had to be studying and editing my thesis on was super important, since that was where they would tell me if what I did in “Seminar” was right or wrong. So I decided to leave my thesis as it was. Once I had collected all the money with my family, I was able to enroll in the subject, and when I arrived, it was like a bucket of cold water for me. This subject was very specific and rigorous, and not all the theses you created in “Seminar” ended up in this subject 100% exactly as you wrote them the first time. My professor was neither a bad woman nor a despot; she simply pointed out that my thesis could not be exactly as I wanted it to be, as it would be too long.     “If you don't narrow down the topic a little, you'll end up with a seven-headed monster on your hands,” my dear professor and tutor Calzadilla told me. So, with all the pain in my soul, I had to find the right alternative to reduce my thesis without losing the essence that made me fall in love with writing it in the first place. Then I thought that if my main idea was to submit legal, medical, literary, and scientific texts to automatic machine translation, artificial intelligence, and human translation, I had to narrow it down and choose a single category. Since I obviously like to write, I chose literary text. And that's when another question arose: What literary work was I going to use for the translations? Days went by, and after reading many literary works by Latin American and Venezuelan writers with endless paragraphs, I decided that for accessibility and convenience, the chosen work would be the famous Latin American novel One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez, since the university did not have the English version of Rómulo Gallegos' “Doña Bárbara,” much less a free version of it on the internet. The analysis was exhaustive, each edition was stressful, and creating every aspect of the development was exhausting, but in the end, all the effort was worth it, because on March 25, 2025, I was able to present my much-appreciated work. I began my studies without any idea of what to do, and I finished them with a work that came from my heart and soul.
