Festival de idiomas 2025/ Language festival 2025

 Hola a todos. ¿Cómo han estado corazones? Espero que bien, el día de hoy quiero contarles una de mis últimas y una de las más grandes experiencias que viví en la universidad y fue organizar el festival de idiomas. Como ya saben, estudie la carrera de idiomas modernos y solo estoy esperando mi acto de grado, bueno, cuando empecé esta bella y dolorosa carrera en pandemia (esa experiencia para otra publicación), no sentía que estaba viviendo la “vida universitaria” hasta que empezaron las clases semi presenciales, al principio las regulaciones eran fuertes, que si un estudiante por mesa, todos con tapabocas y todo eso que ya saben los que llegamos a vivir en pandemia.  La cuestión aquí es que cuando ya hubo libertad en la universidad, cada trimestre (ya que la carrera no se cursaba por semestre o año) los profesores hacían el famoso “Festival de Idiomas” en el cual diversos estudiantes de todos los niveles y trimestres de la carrera hacíamos actos artísticos o musicales para ganar nuestros famosos 2puntos o positivos para pasar la materia, estos actos eran cantar, hacer obras de teatro o hasta bailar; todo un espectáculo para el resto del estudiantado de la universidad. Desde que iniciamos esa libertad, recuerdo haber participado en al menos 3 festivales de idiomas, pero así de la nada se dejaron de hacer, nunca me había fijado en que habíamos dejado de hacer el festival hasta que mi profesor de italiano VI nos propone hacer uno y es ahí que caí en cuenta que hacia como 3 años que no hacíamos un festival. Antes un festival no era tan complicado, solo la catedra de cada idioma se reunía, pautaban las actividades que iban a hacer, los días, las fechas, la publicidad y ya, el resto era parte de los estudiantes (todo en realidad era hecho por los estudiantes de los últimos niveles). Pero, este era un caso muy diferente ya que el de la idea había sido mi profesor de italiano VI Piero, y bueno, él era de “ESOS” profesores que era un 3 en 1, bueno, duro y loco también. El quería que hiciéramos un festival a gran escala, con la intención de “promover” la carrera a los liceos (obviamente privados que el escogió) para que los nuevos bachilleres vieran lo que ofrece la carrera, teníamos que hacer eso en un mes y medio si no mal recuerdo (o menos).      El festival se iba a dividir en varias secciones en las cuales, nosotros los 16 estudiantes de esa clase debíamos encargarnos, y como soy escritora, obviamente me encargue de los concursos de producción escrita, de poema, ensayo y cuento corto. La pasé tanto mal como bien en esa organización, lloré, me reí, me divertí (hubo hipocresía, peleas, discusiones) pero, sobre todo, triunfó el festival. Y como siempre mi conclusión fue: “Dios mío bendito, lo que uno hace para ganarse los puntos extras y pasar la materia sin hacer un examen y reprobar”. Gracias por leerme….   Hello, everyone. How have you been? I hope you're doing well. Today, I want to tell you about one of my latest and greatest experiences at university: organizing the language festival. As you know, I studied modern languages and am just waiting for my graduation ceremony. Well, when I started this beautiful and painful degree during the pandemic (that experience is for another post), I didn't feel like I was living the “university life” until the blended classes started. At first, the regulations were strict: one student per table, everyone wearing masks, and all that stuff that those of us who lived through the pandemic already know about.  The point here is that when there was freedom at the university, every quarter (since the degree was not taken per semester or year), the professors held the famous “Language Festival” in which various students from all levels and quarters of the degree performed artistic or musical acts to earn our famous 2 points or positives to pass the subject. These acts included singing, acting in plays, or even dancing; It was quite a show for the rest of the university's student body. Since we started that freedom, I remember participating in at least three language festivals, but then, out of nowhere, they stopped. I had never noticed that we had stopped doing the festival until my Italian VI professor suggested we do one, and that's when I realized that we hadn't done a festival in about three years. Before, a festival wasn't that complicated. The professors of each language would get together, plan the activities, the days, the dates, the publicity, and that was it. The rest was up to the students (actually, everything was done by the students in the highest levels). But this was a very different case, since the idea had come from my Italian VI teacher, Piero, and well, he was one of “THOSE” teachers who was a 3-in-1: good, tough, and crazy too. He wanted us to organize a large-scale festival with the intention of “promoting” the degree program to high schools (obviously private ones that he chose) so that new high school graduates could see what the degree program had to offer. We had to do this in a month and a half, if I remember correctly (or less).      The festival was to be divided into several sections, which we, the 16 students in that class, were to take charge of. Since I am a writer, I obviously took charge of the writing contests for poetry, essays, and short stories. I had both good and bad experiences organizing it. I cried, I laughed, I had fun (there was hypocrisy, fights, arguments), but above all, the festival was a success. And as always, my conclusion was: “My God, what one does to earn extra points and pass the course without taking an exam and failing.” Thank you for reading me...
