Una visita inesperada/ An unexpected visit

 Hola nuevamente querida comunidad de HIVE. ¿Cómo han estado estos días? Yo, pues sin luz desde la noche de ayer y luego se volvió a ir en la mañana casi todo el día, típico de Venezuela. Pero bueno, no estoy aquí para hablar de cuántas veces se va la luz en el mes, sino para hablar de una linda visita inesperada que vi hoy (y ayer) en mi patio mientras esperaba el regreso de la luz. Y fue nada más y nada menos que una linda iguana bebé.       Tal vez para algunos no sea algo muy emocionante, pero para mí es más que todo nostálgico y tierno, digamos pues que tengo cierto historial con las iguanas aquí en el patio de mi casa, o más bien, mi papá tiene un historial con las iguanas. Hace algunos años, como 7 u 8 años atrás en la casa llegamos a tener hasta 5 iguanas en una jaula, la razón, pues mi papá en esos momentos de escasez de comida aquí en Venezuela tenía la creencia de que debíamos sembrar en las casas plantas que de comida como las frutas o las verduras, y bueno, al tener árboles o cualquier otra planta frutal en la casa llama a las iguanas y bueno, él se propuso atrapar a todas las que viera para que no se comieran su amada cosecha… Fueron tantas y era tanto trabajo mantenerlas en ese entonces que mi mamá lo amenazó de que las dejara en libertad ya que por obvias razones de la naturaleza, no era culpa de las pobres iguanas comerse esas plantas. Y tú, ¿algunas vez tuviste una iguana de mascota? Me gustaría saberlo.   Hello again, dear HIVE community. How have you been these days? Well, I've been without power since yesterday evening, and then it went out again in the morning for most of the day, which is typical in Venezuela. But anyway, I'm not here to talk about how many times the power goes out each month, but to talk about a lovely unexpected visitor I saw today (and yesterday) in my yard while I was waiting for the power to come back on. And it was none other than a cute baby iguana.       Maybe for some it's not very exciting, but for me it's more nostalgic and cute. Let's just say that I have a certain history with iguanas here in my backyard, or rather, my dad has a history with iguanas. A few years ago, about 7 or 8 years ago, we had up to 5 iguanas in a cage at home. The reason was that my dad, during those times of food shortages here in Venezuela, believed that we should grow food plants such as fruits and vegetables at home, and well, having trees or any other fruit-bearing plants at home attracts iguanas, and well, he decided to catch all the ones he saw so they wouldn't eat his beloved crops... There were so many and it was so much work to keep them at the time that my mom threatened to set them free because, for obvious reasons of nature, it wasn't the poor iguanas' fault that they ate those plants. And you, have you ever had an iguana as a pet? I'd like to know.
