 Hola mi bella comunidad de Lifestyle. ¿Como han estado? Espero que bien, yo estoy nerviosa porque ya fui a comprar la tela para mi vestido de graduación y me hicieron las medidas. Cada vez el día especial está más cerca y me pongo nerviosa. Así que para calmarme les contaré de mi día yendo al castillo de las telas para comprar la tela de mi vestido. Este relato empieza cuando el padre de la iglesia de mi pueblo, el padre Milton, llega a mi casa para que mi mamá y sus amigas hagan la mantelería para las festividades de la Virgen del Carmen, y a mí me llama la atención una muy hermosa tela color beige que trajo, como era de noche la tela brillaba de una manera tan sutil y elegante que quede maravillada.  Es ahí cuando decido que quiero que mi vestido de graduación sea de esa tela, no precisamente es color ya que mi piel es de un color parecido, sino que quería que la tela fuera de color nazareno, o sea purpura. Le pregunté al padre donde la había comprado y me dijo que en el centro de Porlamar en el Castillo de las telas. Para los que no conocen el Castillo de las telas, es la tienda de telas más famosa y concurrida aquí en la isla de Margarita. Bueno, le insisto a mi mama de que quiero esa tela y un día nos vamos a Porlamar para ver donde estaba, subimos al segundo piso de la tienda y ahí las vemos “Satín Emily” se llamaba la tela, pero para mí desgracia no había color nazareno.   Tome fotos para enviárselas a mi suegra ya que por el trabajo mi mamá no podría hacerme mi vestido, pero mi suegra si, entonces empiezo a trazar los planes, plan a: tela color nazareno, plan b: tela color azul marino o cobalto, plan c: una tela de satín francés color malva, pero no con el mismo brillo que el satín Emily.        Pasaron los días y volví con mi suegra para enseñarle las telas que habíamos visto y le muestro las opciones ya que no había tampoco ese día tela color nazareno, así que optamos por comprar la opción b, una tela que es como un azul Lyon, azul Oxford o según mi mamá azul cobalto. Aún tratamos de descifrar qué tono exacto de azul oscuro es. Ya tengo tacones y tela, con esto mi lista de pendientes para la graduación se reduce, gracias por leerme. The special day is getting closer and closer, and I'm getting nervous. So, to calm myself down, I'll tell you about my day going to the fabric castle to buy the fabric for my dress. This story begins when the priest from my town's church, Father Milton, comes to my house so that my mom and her friends can make the tablecloths for the Virgen del Carmen festivities, and I am struck by a very beautiful beige fabric he brought with him. Since it was nighttime, the fabric shone in such a subtle and elegant way that I was amazed.  That's when I decided that I wanted my graduation dress to be made of that fabric. It wasn't necessarily the color, since my skin is a similar color, but I wanted the fabric to be Nazarene, or purple. I asked the priest where he had bought it, and he told me that it was in downtown Porlamar at the Castillo de las Telas. For those who don't know the Castillo de las Telas, it's the most famous and popular fabric store here on Margarita Island. Well, I insisted to my mom that I wanted that fabric, and one day we went to Porlamar to see where it was. We went up to the second floor of the store and there we saw it. The fabric was called “Satín Emily,” but unfortunately for me, they didn't have it in purple.   I took photos to send to my mother-in-law because my mom couldn't make my dress due to work, but my mother-in-law could, so I started to make plans: plan A: purple fabric, plan B: navy blue or cobalt blue fabric, plan C: a mauve French satin fabric, but not with the same sheen as Emily satin.        The days passed, and I went back to my mother-in-law to show her the fabrics we had seen and show her the options since there was no purple fabric that day either, so we decided to buy option B, a fabric that is like Lyon blue, Oxford blue, or, according to my mom, cobalt blue. We are still trying to figure out exactly what shade of dark blue it is. I already have heels and fabric, so my to-do list for graduation is getting shorter. Thank you for reading.
