I am really quite good with silicone. Painting french windows, ceramic tile, I can even rock drywall trowels. But excavation? I've never worked commercial construction in my life, and that I have keys to this 3.7 acre project is pretty funny. The photographer in me helps the computer nerd make construction schedules that have color coordination and modern fonts but doesn't tell me much about a scraper.
Conveniently, other people know lots. And I can get their insurance docs into a bank folder and then stay out of the way.
With a wide angle lens, I am never really out of the way.
Not really knowing how this was going to shake out, I brought the telephoto instead.
They got all three machines running and were off. We had all been out there for a couple hours and slowly trickled back to the office.
Around noon the cloud cover broke. I headed back out with the wide angle lens.
The mechanic hung out for a while then split.
Nobody drove over me, and I thought that good.
