### Great mother cave: the Zafrane gorge
>Gran cueva madre: Foz de Zafrane
I am going to tell you a story from a long time ago, as the date is approaching and I remembered it. It was the 31st of December of the famous year 2020, very cold, it had been rainy days and my friends and I wanted to do the last motorbike ride of the year. We didn't know where to go and we didn't want to go too far, so one of my friends reminded us of this place, it was near my city (Zaragoza/Spain), we met at the usual petrol station and we set off on the adventure.
>Os voy a contar una historia de hace tiempo, ya que se acerca la fecha y lo he recordado. Era un 31 de diciembre del famoso año 2020, mucho frio, habían sido días de lluvias y mis amigos y yo queríamos hacer la ultima ruta en moto del año. No sabíamos a donde ir y tampoco queríamos irnos muy lejos, así que uno de mis amigos nos recordó este lugar, estaba cerca de mi ciudad (Zaragoza/España), quedamos en la gasolinera habitual y nos dispusimos a la aventura.
We were heading to the famous Foz de Zafrane, a special canyon-like place where people go for climbing and hiking. The chosen mount was my famous iron, a Yamaha xv1600wildstar. To get there we had to go to the nearest village called Puebla de Alborton, there on the road we had to look for the way to find the famous place. When we were approaching the entrance to the road I met a biker and his Trail bike, I asked him how he was going, he gave me directions and said: "But are you going to go with those bikes? I can hardly get there with mine, it's a road with a lot of mud, puddles and big stones". My mount was the opposite of what was needed to get there, I didn't photograph most of the road because of the difficulty of riding on it, and I had many small scares because I was riding in such a place with the wrong mount, neither for ground clearance, nor for weight, nor for tyres.
>Nos dirigíamos a la famosa Foz de Zafrane, un lugar especial parecido a un cañón, donde la gente va a escalar y hacer senderismo. La montura elegida fue mi famoso hierro una Yamaha xv1600wildstar. Para llegar teníamos que desplazarnos hasta el pueblo mas cercano llamado Puebla de Alborton, allí en la carretera teníamos que buscar el camino para encontrar el famoso lugar. Cuando nos acercábamos a la entrada del camino me encontré con un motero y su montura Trail, le pregunte como se iba, me dio indicaciones y me dijo: "¿Pero vais a ir con esas motos? Yo con la mía casi no puedo llegar, es un camino con mucho barro, charcos y piedras gordas". Mi montura era todo lo contrario que se necesitaba para llegar, la gran parte del camino no lo fotografié dada la dificultad que entrañaba circular por el, y muchos pequeños sustos tuve por adentrarme por un lugar así con la montura no adecuada, ni por distancia al suelo, ni por peso ni por neumáticos.
As soon as you arrive a great pillar rises in the middle of the place, this pillar of 42 metres high, belonged to a bridge of the train tracks of the Zaragoza-Utrillas line, it was built in 1904 and was maintained until 1966, this train was used to transport coal to Zaragoza, later it was dynamited and only the pillar remained.
>Nada mas llegar un gran pilar se alza en mitad del lugar, este pilar de 42 metros de altura, pertenecía a un puente de las vías de tren de la línea de Zaragoza-Utrillas, se construyó en 1904 y se mantuvo hasta 1966, este tren se usaba para transportar carbón hasta Zaragoza, después se dinamitó y quedo solamente el pilar.
In the background as you can see is the great mother cave, this cave and the walls around it are used for climbing, we found quite a few climbers practising in the place and they were astonished to see us arrive with our vehicles, as they had to leave their cars at the beginning of the road because the road was impassable. The cave is impressive but even more impressive when you go inside.
>Al fondo como veis se encuentra la gran cueva madre, esta cueva como las paredes de su alrededor se usan para practicar escalada, nos encontramos bastantes escaladores practicando en el lugar y se quedaron anonadados al vernos llegar con nuestros vehículos, ya que ellos tuvieron que dejar sus coches al principio del camino porque el camino estaba intransitable. La cueva impresiona pero mas impresiona cuando te adentras en su interior.
As you can see this cave is huge, it made me and my friends (they gave me permission to be in some photos although their faces are not recognizable) to make this little excursion, if you can come one day you will love the place, it is a nice walk and the tranquility is breathed here.
>Como veis esta cueva es enorme, me hizo ilusión tanto a mi como a mis amigos(me dieron permiso para que salieran en algunas fotos aunque sus caras no son reconocibles) hacer esta pequeña excursión, si os podéis acerca un día os encantara el lugar, es un bonito paseo y la tranquilidad se respira aquí.
