Hi @steemitachievers. This will be my entry for your My name is what? A writing contest. Hope you'll appreciate it :) So here it goes.
I have this username @vonromulobalsamo and obviously, my name. It's not that important nor curious to found out what's behind the username for it's all but just my name. It was on January that Steemit was first introduced to me by my college mate. Out of curiosity, I went to the site and of course applied for an account. I put my name as a username as it's the first thing that comes out from my mind when the site asked for a username. I don't know why I didn't think twice during that time upon using it as my username, I guess it's destined to be as is hahaha. Well, it's my name and nothing is to be ashamed of so go for it. To answer the question "Given the chance to be able to change it, will you?", hmm i guess I'll not go for a change in username knowing the fact that it's my name, It will be easy for me then to remember my username whenever I try to login from a different place/location. I got many accounts already aside from steemit so it'll be an ease for me to use my name instead of another type of username.
